I towed a trailer from Milpitas to Pismo Beach last month. We stopped at the Tesla SC in San Ardo on the way down. Don't pull into the first entrance to get to the SC's. Keep going past it and around to the left to get in and charge in the leftmost stall. Use Google Streetview to see what...
That wasn’t available a year ago when I made this thread. Since then, software releases have enhanced the user experience and made things better with each release. Now they need to enhance the doors closing by dropping the window a 1/2 inch when open and auto close when the door is closed.
I bought a used '22 LE R1T in May, 2024. It was built in November of 2021 with a very low VIN of 45!!! I have been really happy with the vehicle putting almost 32K miles on it myself (total miles is almost 53K) in the past 20 months. I have not had any issues with the exception of a wiring...
I'm VIN #000045 and at almost 53K miles. Probably going to hit 60K in May or June with the planned trips coming up to Yosemite, Pinnacles, and Disneyland. Yesterday, I scheduled a comprehensive inspection at the SC for early April and will add items to be checked out from now until then. Most...
I keep mine in the driver door pocket. I bought this case on Amazon. https://a.co/d/fMWBjQA Putting it in the frunk adds one more step into getting it out, especially in cold or rainy weather. I'd rather be sitting in my truck to get it out and have it ready to plug in right away.
Saw a story from Riviantrackr that Rivian has made it's Joshua Tree RAN, which is open to all, temporarily free. Looking through the app, other SoCal RANs are free: Inyokern, San Bernardino, Buttonwillow, & Barstow.
While you are charging, in the upper left corner on the Nav screen, it will say "Charge to xx%" I will always charge a little bit more. Never go by time because chargers fluctuate in their flow rate (kW).
Congrats on the R1T as your first EV. The R1T is my first EV too!
Here is a video that explains the navigation options:
If you are filtering it from the top of the screen, it is just filtering what you are seeing on the screen. It is not filtering for navigation. You will have to select...
Loved having my SnapPlate for 18 months until I forded a river. Drone caught the moment it snapped off but I didn't know about it until I got home and washed the truck. Now I have a sticker plate from licenseplatewrap.com, which is authorized by CA DMV to do sticker plates. I filled in the...
Have you considered the R1T? I love all the secure storage with the frunk, gear tunnel, and truck bed with tonneau cover. The only real secure storage on the R1S is in the frunk. Plus, with the truck, it's easy to haul bikes and throw whatever you want into the bed of the truck. A RTT will...
