Does pet mode keep the hotspot working now? I know when I tried it in the past it did not but that was at least a year ago. What I generally do if in a safe area is just soft close the door.
August 22 delivery and I've had my front half-shafts replaced 3 times and my rears once in 20k miles. Most recently I had the awful low speed creaking when starting and stopping. Prior to that I had chattering under heavy acceleration that took multiple visit to eliminate. I have never...
I have what I assume is the same issue and I just dropped it off this morning at the SC for that and some other work. They have supposedly been investigating and working on it since I put in the ticket a month ago, but this has been going on for probably a few months. I had been waiting...
I got a set of these installed over the weekend and I have to agree that they look amazing in person, and surprisingly better than in the pictures I had seen. They ride noticeably better than the 21s as expected. I will also confirm the extra noise at low speed, but no noticeable difference at...
Where are you hooking up the trickle charger? Direct to batteries or the emergency taps in the rear? I have never once worried about vampire drain as I drive around 10 miles per day and never leave my truck unattended for long periods, but having had my 12v replaced back in November...
Can you describe the half-shaft chatter you experience. I had my front half shafts replaced once and my rears twice, which finally fixed it. It was the right rear half shaft and the first 2 trips I had lazy techs, but I am not sure my issue is similar to yours.
I would also note that my...
They called Rivian support first who told them to call 911 at some point. I swear the version I initially read talked about the vehicle not responding to an attempt to reset but the article now says Rivian told the driver to press the SoS button and when that wouldn't work they told her to call...
The R1 actually has phenomenal aerodynamics. That doesn't make up for the fact it has a large frontal area, but its Cd is well below most other similar vehicle.
This is actually my local news station so I saw this as soon as it was published and it made me think about the recent thread about the AI chatbot and how it could actually be beneficial in a situation like this. The panicked driver probably caused the support person to panic as well and skip...
Basically, although in her mild defense the Gen 2 have push button doors, and it seems the door handle is now blacked out so it isn't immediately apparent. That said, much of these comments talk about emergency situations. This woman was able to call Rivian and go through diagnostics before...
While I can see the cover all possible contingencies concern, this seems much ado about very little. The situations where the rear passengers would need to be able to utilize the hidden release in an emergency seem extremely limited, and its unfortunate to see some very negative publicity...
*and the rear doors won't open on their own.
It sounds like the doors failed specifically because the fuse for that circuit failed. I guess there haven't been many accidents with Gen2s, but I wouldn't expect an accident to automatically disable the door mechanism.
Does the exterior handle have a direct linkage? While I can see the concern about the rear doors emergency release being hidden, it made me think about situations with passengers who can't pull a standard door handle regardless. In that case you would need the ability to open from the outside...
This. I don't really have space for a toy vehicle, but even if I did I would hardly ever drive it. I drive 3 kids to school every morning on my way to work and I regularly pick up 3-4 boys from Lacrosse with all their gear in the evenings. On the weekends I am either shuttling kids to sports...
