Yeah and turning rotors used to make sense too! Not longer. But they still have repair boots. Called fast boots, speed boots, yadda yadda. Some are bolt on, some use adhesive. Sometimes they work but mostly they don't. I'm sure a replacement cv boot of similar size can be bought at any parts...
It happens. Replacing a cv boot is not easy task, it's messy as hell and requires you to disassemble the cv itself. Which almost no one does. Just let them fix it, they'll likely replace the whole shaft, it couple hour job. Patience grass hopper.
Same experience as you. Mines broke 3 times and have been able to fix one way or another. Guiding it in and giving a little push on right side is key. And dry lube. But it takes way more babying than it should.
Game on, let em try! I can break any old style powered tonneau with 3 minutes of any "repair." That includes the 2 minutes waiting for my PAAK to open the truck.
Yes, DO NOT do a plug. Go to Discount Tire and have them do a proper patch. Be aware, if the puncture is on or near the sidewall, you'll end up with a new tire.
Side note. Plugging can rip tire cords and once do it the tire can't be patched afterwards. Sometimes plugs work forever, a lot of...
Like some Bronco trims, it's a little bit too Matchbox-transformer-plastic-concept car-aggressive for my taste. But the R1T front-end, in particular, is a bit wimpy in my view and could borrow a couple design cues from this.
They are kind of shit and coverage is horrible (don't even cover the dead pedal) for anyone living in snowy climes.
There is tool for every job and the Husky liners are the best for what they are supposed to do. That is, keep all the crud and grime from mucking up the interior. They...

Oh wait, I'm in that category.....
I think you were experiencing something totally different. Put your truck in all-purpose high setting once and floor it. You'll almost certainly reproduce that sound. Every truck I've driven (5) does it to some extent. Some less, some more. It's actually the CV joint (cage & bearings)...
Like a lot of chain retail, it can be so location dependent. I two Discount's equidistant from my house. One I use to mount, balance & buy a dozen plus tires a year (race tires)...and they are awesome. The other I wouldn't trust to mount a trailer tire for me. One of their employees ripped me...
You and me both.
This whole front end tock/creak thing strikes me as a bit of a princess-n-the-pea syndrome. Maybe Rivian acquiesing to customer pickiness? I had my 12v replaced when that was a thing. Tech suggested I get washer done as it would quiet my take off noise. So supposedly i had...
Yes, they started this a couple months ago as a "customer satisfaction campaign." Had it done on my but frankly didn't hear any difference since I never had the "tock" in the first place. It's a special splined washer I believe and they have a special tool they "stake" it with.
