Not sure how you form the opinion the SCs are filled with fluff. Minneapolis SC is exactly as you describe. Located in an old, low rent industrial area, open space with lifts, two overhead doors and zero "fluff." Its clean but its all function over forim. They have a customer lounge now but...
? This is all my brain saw/read. Look forward to the May 3rd notification.
(Seems silly to have to say I'm kidding but...I'm kidding. Frickin' forums!)
Less of a spa and more like either make a mess at the car wash or make a mess in the garage melting off all the daily snow & crud overnight. In this part of the world, it doesn't matter what color your car is...they are all "shitty salt white" in the winter.
No. I'm not gonna pull off my boot to prove it but there is both an inner and outer tie rod. Like every other car on the road. Whoever is telling you the tie rod is integral is full of shit.
And more than that, chiming in to crap on someone's for sale thread for a frickin' $12 item for which he is making virtually nothing...is really shitty tasteless.
On that point, my 7xxx vin R1T has horrible clear coat orange peel. Though I don't care. Some of new trucks on the SC I saw recently had really nice paint & clear. They seemed to have dialed-it-finally and the blue looks spectacular.
That'd wouldn't be any fun. We are trying to get this thread to 100 pages on missing bits & parts post alone!
But I'm just here for the slider status check in. Not to see here...move along.
Well it likely is. If everything was designed for the lowest common denominator (likely the case here), Rivian probably wouldn't exist and we'd be stuck in caves still. Hah!
But that's where we are these days. America...land if the free...and home of the "if can't do it MUST be broken." I'm...
So I all seriousness I did have a tok. It was hardly noticeable to me. But a few weeks ago I went to SC to pick up wheels I bought. (I live about 3 miles away). So service manager takes ride in my truck and says he can fix it. Longer story longer. Make appt and bring truck back. Turns out...
I didn't get the long crack like you but the bullseye was just as big. The rainx reduced it to barely noticeable and hasn't cracked yet. A month now. When or if it does, then I'll call Rivian for a replacement.
As much as he complains about his tok and as much as I think it's a bit silly....it's his prerogative to bitch away really. We can make light of it (in good fun or seriously) but we really shouldn't try to be the complaint police.
Got a big ole bullseye the other day but was repairable. ALL three of our daily drivers got nailed this winter over the course of 2 weeks. It was maddening. Luckily I live in a $0 deductible glass state!
BTW the RainX glass repair kit works great. I had no expectations it would and was...
