  1. 12v Lead Acid Battery Replacement

FWIW, he didnt update anything on my truck before connecting to it. Right now all of our trucks can be connected to remotely. So I am not sure that you will HAVE to have a software update in order for it to work. My guess is the software update will be more of UI update to request the service...
  2. Bolts on passenger seat loose - can I just tighten them or am I overlooking something?

I agree with others. I would call to see if they can have a mobile person come out in the next day or two since this is a safety issue that they created (assuming they took the seat out). If you're not the confrontation type, get out the torque wrench and tighten them to 69 ft lbs.
  3. Does auto ride height work for you?

OPs is not a dual, at least if his Vehicle Garage is accurate with a 2022 R1T. I also have a quad gen 1 and turned off Auto ride height almost 2 years ago and have never turned it back on (nor has it come back on after sleep).
  4. R1S car desk/portable food tray?

I've used ones like this that slip on the steering wheel. They work great, are cheap, and store easily.
  5. Incorrect Profile Selection With Multiple Drivers

Mine does the same. I think it has to do more with who gets to the car first instead of who is closest to the driver door. Would love to be able to have the option to always default to me and have to manually change to someone else's profile.
  6. 12v Lead Acid Battery Replacement

I just had my 12v replaced this morning via mobile tech. He let me know that I was one of the guinea pigs for the new remote reset that owners will be able to do. He did the entire thing without hooking up his laptop to perform the resets. He was on the phone with one of the engineers the entire...
  7. Antenna mounts

Depends on the antenna you are using and how it mounts. Some I have used was a classic VHF style where the threads stuck through the hole and the cable on the backside was what held it in place. Others, the threads that stuck through was just a standard bolt (like the spring linked above). Find...
  8. Frunk really not safe?

A lot of y'all sure know a lot about thinking like a thief
  9. Frunk really not safe?

"Secure" is the word you're looking for. This doesn't impact safety at all. But yes, hard to believe all it takes is a string pull in the right spot to unlatch it.
  10. How do you "share" key / access to your Rivian?

+1 for handing them a fob. As someone mentioned, everyone has dealt with a key fob before; not everyone has had to deal with apps or the key card.
  11. Why can't they retrofit existing R1's with NACS?

Take a look at this thread (or one of the several others with this exact topic) to find your answers. https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/will-rivian-offer-a-nacs-port-upgrade.48101/
  12. Antenna mounts

I've done both. There are plenty of mounts out there. For one of my vehicles I designed a piece and had it cut via SendCutSend because I wanted something very specific.
  13. Antenna mounts

I've used something like this on all of my vehicles. If you are adding a roof rack, I would personally use something like this.
  14. Inside EVs "I Saw The Affordable Slate Truck In Person. Now I’m Worried"

I've been thinking the exact same use case, and ironically did the exact same thing earlier. Drove a Porsche Cayenne and needed something to drive to the dump. Bought the lowest trim level nissan frontier. Went I went to buy, I told the sales guy I only needed a/c. Didnt need a radio, didnt need...
  15. R2 water fording crossing test (video)

Where does it say that? I'm seeing the opposite, that windows should be open for emergency egress.
  16. RAN Rivian Charging Stations Locations Map via Google Maps

I'm not hating on your comment, but its funny we think this is "oversupplied" and oversaturated but to hear there are 100 gas pumps at the same intersection no one would flinch.
  17. Would you still buy your Rivian today?

Absolutely. Loved my T so much that I bought an S to go with it. The T was my first electric car, so it took a few months for me to get used to driving an electric car and everything that comes with (range anxiety, charging, etc) but that wasnt vehicle specific issues.
  18. Towing a 19' R-POD with a 2022 Quad R1T, a sobering expereince

As others have said, speed is your enemy here. Slow down to 65 and you could probably make that trip with just 1 fill up.
