My understanding is that the body of the truck is made of aluminum which is a bit more difficult to work with than steel...and that's the part that has me concerned...how to cut the material in a very visible area, weld it back together and not have some warping. I suppose I'll find out soon as...
OP...FWIW, I suffered minor damage when a young man backed into me while I was parked. The Rivian certified repair facility in Colorado Springs has been good despite a SNAFU ordering the parts (another story). Regardless, they have ended up replacing the whole side of the "bed" and my...
Good morning Capt...pretty much same behavior with my S23 Ultra. Best approach I've found so far (as recommended by Rivian) is to cycle the phone to "Airplane" mode on, then "Airplane" mode off. This results in the truck immediately recognizing PAAK and I can proceed normally, usually for rest...
What height setting were in? I've never even been close to pulling the flap into the tire. Also, I guess you'd have to be in reverse for a period of time to pull it back and rub the surface? I'll bet Rally Armor will provide you a new flap if you ask...
Good luck and I hope you get it...
Hey DT...I was only being a little bit sarcastic in my previous post. My understanding is that after Rivian submits their paperwork, it's in the hands of the local DMV...hence, the "visit the DMV" comment above. After two months, that's likely where your best source of info resides...hope you...
Man, that really sucks! I sincerely hope they get you fixed up soon. I believe you're right in chalking this up to "new manufacturer" problem but that doesn't make it any easier to swallow. This issue, while obviously not unheard of, seems to be rare. I hope you will get it fixed soon and...
You're right...I did misread it. I guess I didn't interpret their numbers the same as the author. Just looking at Denver vs. Colorado Springs:
Under 15 mins: 29% vs. 27% - about the same
15-30 mins: 33% vs. 48% - greater times in the Springs
30 min-1 hr: 30% vs. 19% - greater times in...
That would be insane! Since there was no speed involved (me parked, other car backing up), I don't expect a lot of hidden damage. So far, it just sounds like replacement of panel (rear to back door), new bumper and stainless trim, and new tail light. Can't imagine a scenario where that totals...
Fortunately it's drivable while waiting for parts. Hopefully, it'll only be in the shop for a week or so. I will have to relearn how to pump gas! :CWL: You're probably right about the bumper being tucked up tight to the truck limiting protection. Price of design I guess...
It must be an epidemic! This happened to me recently...apparently the rear corners are like magnets for other vehicles. Mine happened while I was parked...young man backed into me but was good enough to come find me and take responsibility...
BTW...initial estimate is $14k. It rippled...
No worries...he's just the only guy I know of up there. Besides...if you're in Denver, isn't everything 45 mins - 1 hr away from you? :CWL: That is exactly the reason I moved to C Springs...much calmer pace to the day down here! Good luck sir!
Hey DT...I've used Rolondo at Dentworks of Denver for tint and PPF on all my vehicles since 2006. Not sure if he used Llumar or not but I've been very happy with his work and products used. Might be worth a look since you're looking...
Rolondo, Dentworks of Denver
Address: 13900 E Briarwood...
So...had a Rivian Mobile Service appt last week to have the truck reprogrammed following re-installation of my 22" dark wheels/tires. Visit went well, tech (Brian) was awesome as he reprogrammed the truck and answered a ton of questions from me (as usual). Brian wrapped up the visit, got in...
Team Martin here as well! That guy never ceases to help - whatever the issue, he's on the ball, working hard to resolve your issue, explain what's happening along the way and make sure you're taken care of! Can't say enough about Martin and the Denver SC overall - they never disappoint!
For both of you guys, this seems like odd behavior. I would certainly open a ticket and let Rivian figure it out. Maybe you have an issue with your fobs? Regardless, let Rivian look at it. Good luck...
