  1. Cybertruck Latest "Beta" Prototype gets up close look inside and out at Tesla Investor Day

Yeah...and about that. Do you put PPF (PAINT Protection Film) on a vehicle with no paint? Things that make you go...Hmmm...
  2. Cybertruck Latest "Beta" Prototype gets up close look inside and out at Tesla Investor Day

I can’t keep my stainless refrigerator clean of fingerprints - having that on a whole truck is going to be a nightmare…ugh. I wish someone would wrap one to at least see some variety.
  3. Cybertruck Latest "Beta" Prototype gets up close look inside and out at Tesla Investor Day

Must be that the doors do indeed open? That's progress, right?
  4. Cybertruck Latest "Beta" Prototype gets up close look inside and out at Tesla Investor Day

And what's going on with those wheels? Not sure how a normal tire machine will get a tire installed? Also, if you ever have a flat, seems you sure as heck don't want to drive on it...
  5. Cybertruck Latest "Beta" Prototype gets up close look inside and out at Tesla Investor Day

I guess the good news is that I'm in no danger of having "buyer's remorse" having purchased the R1T instead of the Cybertruck.
  6. Cybertruck Latest "Beta" Prototype gets up close look inside and out at Tesla Investor Day

Hideous! Looks like a Dodge Power Wagon had sex with a Triangle...? Ugh...Lee...
  7. Phone upgrade: any issues with PAAK phone as key or with app?

So...from my previous post above, I thought I was good. This was not true. Was in the truck all day yesterday and PAAK never worked. Showed in the app and could lock/unlock via app but phone NOT recognized for driving and prox completely inop. Deleted EVERYTHING Rivian related from the phone...
  8. Phone upgrade: any issues with PAAK phone as key or with app?

S23 Ultra here as well...never had any issues with the S22 Ultra but, as above, it has been intermittent. Yesterday, I did delete the PAAK for the 23 from the truck, deleted the Rivian app from the phone and started over. So far it appears to be working okay...more to follow...
  9. All weather floor mats logos are black

Not as well as yellow molded emblem would as I've had to "repaint" some scuffs a few times but, in the absence of the optimum solution, I'm satisfied... Given the choice, I'd still prefer the yellow molder version but not enough to spend on a new set. These still repel snow and moisture as...
  10. IIHS Updated Crash Test Rating of Rivian R1T (w/ Video)

Not sure if this has been done on my truck...does anyone have any "before" and "after" pics?
  11. Buy now, or wait?

My $.02...You don't indicate whether cost of vehicles is an issue but I would either keep the Jeep and sell the Tesla or, if your spouse wants a nicer car as well, I would consider keeping both for all the reasons you mention. As far as the tonneau is concerned, I would not wait for it. It...
  12. Colorado Checking In

Hey DT...I was talking to one of the SC Techs a while back and he indicated that they had few if any issues during the recall because they do a comprehensive check of each vehicle before delivery (including a check of all fasteners under and around the truck). Take it for what it's worth but...
  13. SnapPlate - No Drill, Removable, Front License Plate Mount

Awesome product! I have one for my truck and keep it in the frunk. In the event I have an interaction with LEO and the lack of a plate becomes an issue, I'll be able to remedy immediately. It's well made and easy to install and remove without putting any unnecessary marks or holes on the...
  14. Just Took Delivery 2-21-23 -- Initial Thoughts

Congratulations!!! The feelings of "awesomeness" haven't worn off yet for me (delivered 30 Sep 22)! I too was a fan of SXM but now really appreciate Spotify and Tidal...haven't missed XM yet. For the unlock feature, set your phone up as a key and set the app to "remain open"...that will allow...

In the spirit of Mel Gibson's Braveheart..."FREEEEDOM!!!"
  16. Motortrend's Rivian R1T Yearlong Review: Winter Snowstorms Tire Out Our Electric Pickup (but it handled everything the mountain threw at it)

Very surprised the bead stayed on the rim! As a result, it appears to have saved the wheel? Also, reinforces the need to stop ASAP and/or take it as easy as possible if you have to drive a bit to reach safe stopping. I've never had a tire come completely apart like that...Wow!
  17. Motortrend's Rivian R1T Yearlong Review: Winter Snowstorms Tire Out Our Electric Pickup (but it handled everything the mountain threw at it)

If only the journalist had an air compressor available to check and adjust the pressure in his tires...oh...hmmm... He was probably out that day when the Motortrend staff discussed TPMS and other onboard features...
  18. Tesla Recalling 362,000 Cars With "Full Self Driving" System

What?!? Sounds like Tesla's do still require a driver...you know, that "fail-safe" human paying attention to ensure the car doesn't automatically drive into an unsafe situation. This may require Tesla drivers to remain awake for the duration of their commute...
