The adjustment warranty is what we all used when we noticed misaligned panels, hoods that rub on the fender when they open/close, etc. It is not a maintenance plan whatsoever.
I don't think you'll have any issues as a Canadian in the US, especially at EV chargers in a non-Tesla. The places you mentioned going are also just overall safe and friendly to all.
Things are definitely a bit weird and uneasy down here generally, but I don't think anyone is gonna harass you...
It's likely the all season tire is not rated for the additional weight of the max battery compared to the much lighter standard battery. Tires all have very specific load ratings for weight and speed limits, and it's possible the tire Rivian sourced as an OEM cannot handle any additional weight...
First of all, welcome aboard! Great decision to switch over to the good side!
We don't call them "long range" 'round these parts. There are different battery sizes and different motor configurations. Sounds like you're looking at a dual motor, with a max pack.
I don't know why certain wheel...
I'm pretty sure this is a technical limitation, not an artificial one. You can't cast to a device unless they're on the same network, and you can't have the phone and vehicle on the same network without connecting to the vehicle's WiFi. No Connect+ mobile internet, no vehicle WiFi.
The YouTube...
the problem is that all of the doors including the gear tunnel (I'm pretty sure) are aluminum and not a steel alloy. There's very little of this notoriously monstrous panel that is exposed at surface level, other than the rear fender area.
I'm sorry for your bad time OP, but these threads are useless when someone creates an account in a huff and posts a thread with no context only to never return. For all we know, Roadside Assistance came to jump the battery and get it moving and OP just never replied to let us know.
Miles driven is an unreliable metric that will cost more in enforcement, resulting in losses on top of the revenue added. A more accurate measure would be taxing based on vehicle weight, as increasing weight causes exponentially more roadway damage.
If you have a payment method in the Rivian app, then all you have to do is plug and charge. If you want membership pricing, you have to initiate the charge from the Tesla app first.
I promise you it didn't. These vehicles, especially the Max Packs, do not charge well at all. You'll get nowhere near the max charge rate when the SOC is above 30% starting a charge. It doesn't matter how fast or empty the charger is.
If any of the following are true, you won't hit your max...
Moss-Magnussen Act prevents them from just broad stroke voiding warranty. It'll be pretty difficult for them to prove a simple 12V swap caused those sort of failures, although their goal here would be to scare you off with legal threat more than likely.
Yeah, with battery management systems designed for LiFEPO4, sure. Your vehicle does not have a BMS designed for anything other than AGM.
Just because a product exists for the vehicle does not mean it is better. Also, it's "in fact" not "infect".
Why? There's a whole lot of risk and very little gain from changing LV battery chemistries. LiFEPO4 batteries are not meant to be subjected to constant cycling like these vehicles subject their 12V batteries to. I would be surprised if lithium batteries are more reliable than a well made AGM...
