From what I gather, my truck has been built for well over a week but still waiting for transport to the SC. It’s a possibility that the SC is asking to hold the truck at the factory also.

No 8 steps nor delivery here. It seems they're waiting for transport but who knows.

From the news but I've asked - "Rivian said that the issue affects 502 R1T electric pickup trucks produced between the very start of production last year and until April 12, 2022"

Based on your contact date and my experience, I'd give it anther full week and ask your guide nicely again for the VIN. That's all I can say! And yeah the Taycan & R1T combo would be awesome!

It's my understanding that the "in production" state can be from beginning of being built until the service center receives the truck. 8 steps is anywhere from leaving the factory till SC. VIN is only shared during the 8 step because it can change up until that point. Well, and sometimes...

My guide did say she's seeing both R1T's and R1S's rolling in Normal but didn't ask further questions.

I had a similar conversation with my guide today, plaid, wire or certified check works just fine. Certified check, take a pic of it and upload before mailing it works to take delivery. If you wire transfer, she did say don't do it too soon in case there's any issues with the vehicle during...
