My point isn't to say you should be to content to drive around in a jalopy and not care what anyone thinks. My point is that you should drive the car that you enjoy, and if someone stereotypes you based on that, are you really going to let that persuade you from not buying the car you want?
The manager mentioned that they had taken some overflow from other service centers, and two of the vehicles required much more work than expected, so it slowed them up a bit the first few weeks.
Dropped off my R1T for service at the new service center in Malvern, PA today. It's big and clean with 7 or 8 lifts and and indoor wash bay. The staff couldn't have been nicer or any more accommodating! Also, someone had posted here before that it was existing new building that Rivian moved...
I tried the phone mount from TWRAPS that attaches in the dash slot behind the display on the right side, but it's VERY hard to remove once installed. It's nearly impossible to get enough leverage to compress the bracket to remove it while you're seated and reaching over the steering wheel. I...
To ramp up, they are first taking on overflow service appointments from other service centers before taking direct appointments at the Malvern location.
Yeah, definitely not built for RIVIAN, but I live very close to it, and do business with another company back there. There's been construction there since 2022... first removing a lot of trees and moving dirt around etc. I think RIVIAN was originally looking at a space in Downingtown, PA.
The building has been under construction for almost two years, and in fall 2022, a mobile tech mentioned to me that a Malvern location was in the works.
It's not a mirage! However, I'm told they are only in the "soft launch" phase and not taking new appointments at this time and only doing service overflow from other service centers.
My point is that IF you do hit a deer, driving unreasonably fast, the impact and damage will be greater. Also, what you should have said is: "I'll update you tomorrow when this is still true." (unless you're thinking you'll hit a deer tomorrow). If that's the case, remember F = ma (force equals...
I live in a deer heavy area, and it boggles my mind when I see boneheads doing 65-70 mph on dark back roads when the posted speed limit is 45-50. Even at the correct speeds, you gotta be vigilant and focused more on the road, than on getting wherever you're going 2 minutes faster.
