Going on one week in the shop now -- not as much as a peep from Rivian unless I call them and go through the song and dance of reaching out to the service center. Using the elaborate song and dance I was able to get the update on Wednesday that I posted above, but nothing more.
To make matters...
Minor update from service center:
It is some sort of issue with the high voltage battery, they are waiting on engineering to determine if they need to replace the entire pack or if some sort of module inside the pack can be replaced.

While it's in the shop I got them to add a few items to...
There is literally a post above mine saying he had a HV failure and they had to replace the whole pack.
You are most likely correct In regards to a complete HV failure. That probably does not happen. However, the amount of logistics and time invested by Rivian Is most likely not a trivial...
Guys my battery failed today. Truck just got towed to service.
Now I’m not saying the pizza tunnel is at fault here, but the coincidence is striking isn’t it?
as a result I recommend we stick to pizza frunk until the Rivian engineers get back to me.
I guess you could say these are pretty heavy.
(The tow driver was the best and took his time, there was just no way to get the bed fully pulled back up without lifting the front for a second.
While I’m waiting on the second tow attempt, I used the pigtail to get enough power to unlock it, got my stuff out, but can’t get the frunk to pop. The manual release cable is hidden behind a trim panel that looks like it won’t come off without breaking. I’ve got a teslatap, tesla charger, and a...
Techs advice was to wait 30 minutes after 2 hard resets and try the truck again.
Now it’s completely dead, haha.
My money is on 12v battery issue.
edit: Actually it’s not dead. I can hear it chiming inside (the error chime) when I press the fob unlock, but no screens and no key works to...
Good start to second week with the truck. Currently about 825 miles on it:
Currently waiting on a tow.
They are gonna have fun getting it out of my garage, won’t even go into neutral.
At the risk of being drawn and quartered -- allow me to present both the a$$hole opinion and the devil's advocate:
A$$HOLE:
ITT: People who go to a Rolex dealer and ask for a discount.
If you're finicky over a few thousand dollars of resale value three-to-five years from now, you should not...
Consequently setup my first service:
Only three minor issues, and two I just want noted at best:
So far @jebinc, the truck blows away my Plaid in terms of issues experienced and fit and finish. Really impressive for a company that has been delivering vehicles for less than 1 year.
