I agree, frustrated with their messaging. As far as delivery windows posted in the configuration I think Rivian needs to better understand their manufacturing timeline. They have an idea based on calculations, but I don’t think they even know realistically how long it takes them to complete an...

I recall a lot of the early trucks went to Washington, Oregon, California, Michigan.

That’s what’s weird as it seems this PBA right after initial guide contact is kind of a new thing. I reached back out to my guide to inquire as I still don’t have PBA and had my initial contact 2 weeks ago. Seems like it might be a new process to get it done early.

Interested to see the distribution of where we all are in the process of owning a Rivian.

Both R1S’s with the first known PBA’s to this forum are configured with Rivian Blue… coincidence?

It does feel like the guides know less about the vehicles than a majority of the forum members on here.

Had my guide call today. Pretty much same call, intro, config lock, and wait to get PBA. What I gathered from her is that PBA will be sent once she is able to get a Vin locked for my config. Said I’m still on track for my delivery window.

Exactly... what do we do? I feel like sending an email or text prematurely might come off a bit desperate ?

Awesome! Did you get the sense that the vehicle was built yet or just starting the process? Curious as it seemed like they built the R1Ts before even contacting the customer to lock in config.

I’m April/May and I got the email regarding upcoming guide contact week of April 11th. Sounds like the R1S guys who had a March/April window got their actual guides this week.

Awesome! I got the same email. I’m making an assumption here, but appears they may be trying to set a new approach here by informing a certain batch of preorder holders every week of their impending guide contact. I’d expect every Friday a new batch of R1S preorders will get this type email...
