We've heard this before, but with Gen 1:

Remember - never buy a current product based on promises of future functionality.
I had to soft reset the infotainment twice with this update. Once because it stopped following the truck on guidance. (and was 100% unresponsive on top of that) and a second time because it wouldn't download satellite imagery.
I'm also having an issue with Driver+ forcibly stopping, and then...
Installed here without issue. A bit snappier overall.
I also feel like the so-called suspension improvements from last update have finally been applied. It might be my imagination, but it feels less jostled by road undulations, and more 'glide' like overall.
Gen 1 R1T
Seems good overall, so...
It shows up in the configurator already too:
Remember to use a referral code in addition to this for $500 more off too. You can see R1S's that qualify for the promotion and use my code via this link...
This is a real bummer - it was 'in the works' since I purchased my first Rivian in early 2022.
I hate running 2 hours to Cleveland for service, and I feel back for the mobile tech dispatched from there.
It's also worth noting that the OBD port is powered 100% of the time, even when a Rivian is off. While having a qi charger connected (with it's pico-level power draw when not charging) is going to be perfectly fine for the 12v, I'm not sure what impact a Comma will have.
Maybe it would be best...
This x 1000%
In it's current state, the system is so flakey that I would never ever trust it without hands on the wheel. Doing so is basically a deathwish.
To be fair, it's A-OK 95% of the time. Even so, it's still not as good as AP1 Autopilot.
I've gone through something just like this - I owned a Model S when the Model 3 launched, and it sucked. Service appointments went from weeks to months. Loaners became unobtainium (until they stopped providing loaners to Model 3 customers entirely)
If they are having staffing issues right now...
You may want to look at versions of this on Printables as well as this is going to be quite difficult to print successfully.
Here is the one that I did which prints with minimal supports and bolts together...
I concur with this sentiment. My wife and I were actually talking about just this thing. It also feels like this is errantly making the rear motor of my dual kick in more abruptly as well when it happens, which is particularly disturbing.
At low speeds it's fine. (e.g. parking lot. 10 mph)...
I really glad this service upgrade was done. Being down here and reliant on L2 or L1 charging was quite a pain. The only 'fast' charging prior to this was all the way down in Avon, and it was only 62kw.
Yep, I concur. This also might be due to transformer availability as well. (e.g. if there is a very, very large transformer in the area that can service both installs)
This is pretty good, but at others mentioned, it's in literally the same parking lot as a V3 Tesla Supercharger that is open to other brands with an adapter. I've charged there before multiple times when on vacation, and I've never seen more than 1 or 2 other vehicles there. It's a 12 post...
