I dunno. The manual frunk release is very easy. Only takes a few minutes. (I, unfortunately, had to learn this.) You only need torx 20 and 25 bits. There are a bunch of very small tool kits.
I had this one in my truck:

I taped it to the jump...
The Vector 1200a jump starter is the larger one I used today but it is big. I liked the CAT I had borrowed the first time. It was much larger than the NOCO but smaller than Vector and ran longer. (Although they both the big ones worked well and ran a long time.)
I'm thinking I'll replace the...
I did some testing today and put some clarifications here:

Since I was replying in another thread and had to get some items from my truck. I did a little testing.
When it was first towed and died (HV pack unavailable) I had tried a NOCO GBX75 jump starter on the wires near the trailer hitch. It did not work. However, a larger CAT jump starter did...
It's in the manual. Note there is not a lot of space in there depending on your wheel position. I think I ended up using the torx bits directly not the screwdriver.
FWIW, the manual frunk release process is actually pretty easy. You really only have to remove the farthest screws in the bottom part of wheel well and then you can pull the plastic back far enough to reach in and pull the cord at which point the frunk pops loose.
FWIW, I have a couple of the NOCO gb75s that have worked great for various ICE vehicles. However, they did not work for starting my R1T. They are also a pain for this purpose since they have a timeout. I don't think it was the timeout though. I think it draws a lot when it starts.
I did find...
Just out of curiosity why the pottery barn instead of say the 30fb office?

^ This is the one we've been looking at. Sounds like your criteria may be the same too. Pottery barn looks really nice but where would be...
I'll second that. We have a 22FB Caravel which is of comparable size. It's a very convenient size for two people. The only reason we are thinking of upgrading to a bigger size is because we now sometimes wrap our vacations with work weeks to split up the travel and because we enjoy it and then...
Maybe I am misunderstanding but by level for both r1t and trailer I mean the bumper heights were correct in the final settings and not as good for the other two?
I am definitely not an expert but I think the WDH is tensioned properly on its side and that I think they told me as long as it rides level (as in truck and trailer perfectly level) after adjustments it should be good. There was several short drives to check. I don't think it is as precise as...
I got airstream to do it for me to make sure it was correct. It's been a while now but my old truck was closer to the R1T's high setting, they eye balled it, moved the drop two holes, and then after it settled we ended up moving it back one hole. There was no adjustment on the wdh side. Just the...
Interesting. It's possible but I'll add the additional data point that I've used the blue ox for years on many trips with the R1T and our previous truck. I have not had any scary moments. Once you lift it high enough the sway bars loosen up and it is easy to hook or unhook. I think the slight...
Very cool. I keep thinking about using one of these >=3kW with TT-30 output batteries as a buffer too. I wasn't looking at Jackery though but will now.
Question. Did you do the comparison of charging via 110v using your truck versus 12v using your truck?
Just commenting on two items in case it helps with your decision making.
FWIW, we tow all the time and this really isn't an issue. Yes, it will level if the rear is pushed down but it is delayed and gradual. Basically only happens after you are hooked up. Does not create a safety issue. I...
