I bought Bridgestone KO2 and love them. They are great in snow, mud, and sharp rocky roads. Great tire and I got them at Les Schwab. One thing, you have to watch them like a hawk. The tech will tell you they know how to do it but if you watch half the time they have no clue.
I use a different technique when on snow or ice. When I start to slide I gently apply acceleration. and turn the front wheels in the direction that I want to go. This also worked on my old 4wd dodge Ram diesel. It takes some getting used to but in my 50 years of snow driving I have perfected the...
Almost had the same experience, only camping in a very remote area. Three of us, my nephew, good friend and me. So I gave the key fob to my friend, the card to my nephew and kept the phone. I always leave the phone on the charge pad when driving. When we returned to camp I got out to the truck...
I had a terrible experience wit Precision. I had a minor dent in the rear quarter panel above the light. The quote was astronomical and they said 4 weeks even after they had all of the parts. Next time it will be pointless dent removal for me. They were arrogant and unwilling to tell me why a...
My windshield wipers do not clean the windshield when using the window washer function. No mater how much window cleaner I spray on the windshield the upper passenger side and upper driver side only smear the dirt and leave streaks. I have replaced the blades twice. Once by Rivian and again with...
I would be interested in a steel front bumper replacement with winch. It would have to incorporate the sensors that are in the original bumpers. Would this void the manufacturers warranty?
A friend of mine bought an ID4 because of the great pricing. Not long after he got it he got called in with a recall. After a couple of days they called him back and said it could be up to a year before he gets it back. They got him an ice rental.
The best thing to use is a kinetic strap. Kinetic straps are made to stretch so you can leave slack in the strap and get a running start. The strap stretches and then yanks the other vehicle out. Works great. I found a full kit at one of the ev supplies websites.
Where ever you take it I would insist on supervising. If they flat refuse due to "safety concerns" I keep the keys and have the service tech that is going to do the work get them from me so that I can go over the process before they take it into the shop. I also carry my own magnetic jack pucks...
I have always used Les Schwab and have the same experience with them. They swear they know how to do it then when I go out to the shop when they pull my truck in they obviously don't have a clue. I always insist on supervising. So far it has been ok with them.
I bought a kit with a kinetic strap. Also came with all of the other things needed for rescue. Don't remember which of the EV parts sites I got it on but a search will find it.
I received an extra set of crossbars a few months after my R1t delivery also. Tried to return them but they were not interested. I keep the extra set at my beach house.
