I have a set of hullavators that have been on face book marketplace for months and haven't had any serious buyers, which is weird considering how well they work. You'd definitely have to rig some type of extension for you crossbars; they'd never clear the truck with stock rails
I applied Cerakote shortly after taking delivery, and it works fine, but I still have to scrub the cladding to get it somewhat clean.
Also, am I the only person whose cladding is getting destroyed by road debris, which makes it much harder to clean, and is most likely taking the Cerakote with...
Looks great! For those commenting on price, I had the full truck PPF, 1 coat of ceramic, and front window tint done for $5,500 out the door. The installer uses Kavaca PPF and it is holding up really well so far (~6 months).
I've driven stretches of the parkway, primarily around Roanoke, Floyd, and a little ways into NC. I live close so I haven't had to worry about charging. However, there are plans for RAN in Meadows of Dan, VA, which would easily put you in range of Blowing Rock as your next charging stop. I don't...
I live in Southwest Virginia (30ish minutes from Wytheville) and the charging infrastructure sucks in this area. You'd probably have to make it another 30+ minutes south to Mt Airy NC to find a charger. I've driven my R1T through Wytheville and Bluefield WV but luckily never had to worry about...
My delivery specialist told us the same thing. He said to basically use your fingertips at the top of the door and slam it shut. He said people had been putting large dents in the doors trying to close them lower down or by pushing them shut.
Just pre-ordered the sliders. I'm really looking forward to getting them. 1/2 the price of competitors and the running boards look better than the others, so I have no doubts the sliders will be great.
I had a local company do the full truck in Kavaca (had never heard of them but looks great) clear PPF, which included a coat of ceramic on all surfaces including the wheels. They also tinted my front windows. Total out the door price was $5550. The PPF has a 12 year warranty.
I'm very rural so...
My original delivery window was December 22 - January 23. Sometime in October, I believe, my window was updated to July - September 2023. I emailed customer support a week or so later asking if there were any changes I could make to take delivery earlier. 4 days later I got a call from Rivian...
Personally, I have been very impressed with the interior. The materials are upscale, while also durable, comfortable, and functional. I really like the spartan-like simplicity of the dash, as well. And that glass roof is pretty killer!
We do have a SunTek installer but they only do residential/commercial window films.
I couldn't find any other automotive installers close by. I'm in a fairly small area and I don't know a single other person with PPF installed, so it isn't necessarily a booming business here.
In case anyone is in the same boat as I was with limited PPF installers in my area and no xpel or 3M installers within a 45 mile radius, I wanted to share my initial reaction to another PPF brand, Kavaca.
I was hesitant to go with a brand I wasn't familiar with but the owner of Ceramic Pro New...
