As a previous R1T owner for over a year I prefer the R1S. The R1S was supposed to be wifeys daily driver.
1.) Pre-March 2022 pricing + Binding Purchase Agreement, this was a huge factor.
2.) Wifey did not want the R1S. After test driving an R1S, wifey decided she liked her Land Cruiser...
I know a lot of people love REI. Why not love a place where you can get you favorite Patagonia jacket. :) Unfortunately, for me, here in CA REI supports the Sierra Club and the Sierra Club's agenda is all about preventing motor vehicle travel in the forest. The Sierra Club has gone after a...
I put 12k miles on my R1T and now 2k on my R1S. I charge for free at work and there are 3 RAN's on my normal long distance routes. I haven't paid anything for electricity in the last 18 months. I have filled up my F250 2x in that same period. :)
My R1S is vin 8386 and I have had ZERO issues with it. My R1T that I had for over a year was vin 6140 and it had a number of issues (battery pack failed, rear drive unit failed, etc, etc.) but once things were fixed it was solid. I think you'd be fine with that vin number. I think a lot of...
I traded my R1T into Rivian 6 weeks ago. 2022 R1T with 12k miles. They gave me $74k, which was right about where the KBB trade in values were at the time. Private sale was a few thousand more. I think what you are dealing with is a softening of the used car market. I've noticed the used car...
Got it. Your preference is to have a slider, plus plastic covers, so that you don't suffer any decrease in range, the underside of your R1S stays clean and you don't have a noticeable increase in cabin noise. I understand we all have our own desires/wants and needs, but if you are going to...
@EV Sportline ... call the guys at Laser Nut (or another production robotics welding shop) about helping you weld up your sliders and running boards. You obviously are doing these manually based on these welds and you'll never get caught up with your orders. I really hope you are able to...
My assumption... first time your rock sliders are drug across a rock there is NO more warranty. If you never intend to wheel your Rivian, then folks should be buying the steps and not the sliders.
I installed my @DCE rock sliders yesterday. I had planned to build my own sliders, but I just haven't had time (building a 4800 car), so ordered a set from DCE. DCE built a very nice product that is super easy to install. Took about 90 minutes to install by myself. Wifey loves them as it's...
I just received my DCE sliders for our R1S. It took 3.5 weeks total time from the order date to delivery. It took me about 90 minutes to install them by myself. Super easy install and the product is really nice.
I had my R1T updated from 21s to 20s at the service center. I now have an R1S. I do not think Rivian has figured out how to update the tire size. My R1S is far more accurate when it comes to range and battery percentage.
My R1T at 100% SOC would report 347 miles of range. The best range I...
2 different engines in the pics. Hard to tell from the pics, but my guess is Gen II LT based small block Chevy. The important questions is... what are you putting them in...?
Cross bars - I have not installed them yet.
Cabin road noise - It's definitely louder than the T and by a good amount. Not obnoxiously loud, but noticeably louder. Road noise from the tires is what I notice the most. On smooth roads is dead silent inside. On rough roads it's much louder...
The 22R engine in the 4Runner is bulletproof. They will practically run without any oil. The coils are notorious for crapping out. Did he figure out if the problem was fuel, air or spark?
I run the trail a handful of times each year. There is NO way I would run my R1S through the trail. IMO opinion it's not the right rig for that level of wheeling. I LOVE seeing someone do it. And eventually EVs will be capable. This was a good opportunity to learn.
1315 Greg St, Sparks, NV 89431 looks like the location. There are job posting for that location out there as well.
