You can stop from the screen, the charger itself or just click the plug unlock and it stops right away. I don't know if that causes an issue but for the fast chargers I stop it from the truck or charge station screen just to be safe. For level 1 and 2 just unplug it.
Just an FYI after having to do a few resets myself. There are 3 types of reset (that I know of). This is from Rivian support and might be helpful to others in the future.
Sleep Reset
Rivian must be unplugged from charger, nothing plugged into any USB ports, Inverter off, all seatbelts...
After a real bad day on Tuesday where this royally screwed my day up (had to slow charge on a long business trip). I tried the sleep reset and a full reset with the left button on the steering wheel and the hazard button. This did a full reboot of the truck and unfortunately still get the error...
Yep have used it. Not intentionally but was on a freeway onramp and the car next to me was not playing zipper nicely so I stepped on it a bit too much. The screen blinked red and it "yelled" at me with an audible warning as well as text and (the truck) slammed on my brakes! Scared me but there...
Disappointingly it does seem the power to that 12 volt outlet does NOT stay on. Reallyyyyyy dumb when you have a 135kWh battery attached to the truck!
I guess that will have to be a software update. I have not confirmed this 100% but it seems to get warm when I am away for a while. I thought it...
With a heat pump setup and solid state batteries and most everything else staying the same I expect double the range out of a Rivian in the next 5-7 years. Will be interesting to see if they do "cosmetic" changes on the different model years. Just seems like a waste of time to me in general. I...
Took a bunch of measurements of the Frunk (like how "frunk" is actually recognized by spellcheck!) and looked for a compressor style electric cooler. I settled on this one and so far so good! Also these are the organizers that keep the cooler from sliding around. Just grab onto the carpet

I finally have to vent on this. Sorry its a bit long winded.
Rivians communication is horrible. Has been since the day they announced. Still an issue even with service. I almost want to work them just to fix these stupid comm issues! Would work for free for a month just to improve it...
My tonneau cover broke on the first day I got the truck. About a month later and they are still waiting on parts. There are "alignment issues" with the electric covers and I am told there are new parts and a permanent fix now. I am hoping that gets fixed soon as the cover has been stuck open by...
I can't find a specific rating from Rivian but here are some other ratings I found. I figure its likely close. I would not want the heavy battery end of the golf cart on the tailgate.

Got this at Home Depot https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ezy-Storage-18L-19Qt-Waterproof-Clear-Latch-Tote-IP-67-FBA34060/314650516. Stack 2 high right to the roof. A little tight under the latching assembly but works. Clear and the lids seal tight.
I have used the hotspot a few times in my truck but in the last few weeks it will not turn on. Button goes yellow for a few seconds then turns off. I have tried numerous times and yes I have good ATT service where I am trying.
Anyone else having this issue?
I have the latest update and my screens go to sleep. So glad that is not happening to me.
Just a thought maybe turn your Gear Guard off or on as that is "on" all the time and the screen pops on and off when it senses motion. Mine is one and has been since about the 3rd day I had my truck. Also...
Its hard to drive these truck "conservatively" so as I get more used to it (and don't let my wife drive it) my watts per mile should go up closer to what thedole is seeing.
Charging at home is practically free for me with all the solar and time of use. So the only time I really care about...
Adding that we have to backup a hill (yes in reverse) to get into our driveway. It is a pretty steep hill maybe a 6 or 7% grade. My old RAM 1500 with a HEMI would struggle up this hill and sometimes overheat going backwards. The Rivian makes it easy like there is nothing behind it!
The 900+...
Yes they are the 20" AT tires. The tires themselves are about 34" in diameter. The mileage on the way back is much worse because I just drove it like I didn't care about mileage. I figure if I was hypermiling then I might get closer to the 1 mile pre kWh.
I agree that its mostly the...
With traffic I was going pretty slow and was rarely over 60. On the way home it was full speed and I drove closer to 65 and sometimes 70. Faster starts on the ramps etc. Elevation change was minimal both ways.
