I think the Tesla slump is a little overblown. The 3 and the Y were by far the best selling EVs in America last year (by an absolutely insane margin) and the Y, which I think was the 3rd or 4th best selling vehicle in America full stop, just had a refresh, so time will tell.
This is right. For replacement cost, the other party's insurance limits really don't matter to you. They only matter to your insurance in terms of what can be recovered via subrogation.
As someone who is an attorney that did quite a bit of insurance coverage law at one point in time, I'm not seeing where you two are disagreeing with each other. Basically, what each of you are saying is right.
Yeah, its a game changer! I honestly use it more than on highway driving. Just have to pay attention because I once or twice may have almost flew through a red light when the car in front of me turned away lol
That makes sense. I suspect a good portion of that 68k are going to cancel or have canceled, with it being a $100 refundable deposit and with how much used prices have come down since the R2 was announced.
You should try it! It's not just for the lights, you're almost always behind another car in traffic and it's super helpful. I find it way more useful in the city than on the highway. If you end up being the lead car just switch it off if you approach a red light.
So if you reserved in the first day (I was within the first hour) you're at least in the first 68,000. Based on prior production and anything Rivian has released, do you know how long they're looking at to ship the first 68k?
No. It isn't tied to the light at all (at least the way myself and most others are reading it). If it did what the Tesla did and actually worked from the light that is awesome, and would apply when you're the first car in line. But as it reads now, it is only if you're behind a car and it's...
Only if there is a car in front of you, which adaptive cruise will also do. The utility is only if it's tied to the light like the Tesla one is so it works if you're the first car.
Am I the only one that sets adaptive cruise to like 10mph over the speed limit in stop and go traffic or the city...
I guess I'm confused about the utility then if you're already in adaptive cruise (unless it shut itself off)? Why do you need a chime if the car will move anyway once the vehicle in front of you moved?
