Great back an forth. The only significant difference between the R1S and RIT that cant be addressed by an OTA is the weelbase. Inherently Longer wheelbase = smoother ride, Shorter wheelbase = better turn in and handling. The R1S was probably tuned the same at launch and it should not have...
I'm planning to keep the Alfa and sell the Range Rover Evoque. This way I can still get my speed fix. I've had it up to 162mph, way short of the 191 top speed. The R1 will still be quicker off the line even with the 20 AT's. That will be weird!
They are the same tires on my Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio. Pirelli P Zero Corsa's that are 60 teadwear and last 6000 miles on a car that is 3500 lbs. That's why these tests are apples and oranges. The R1's are not about 0-60 or 1/4 mile. The Aston and Porsche are vanity SUV's that have as much...
I've seen multiple Car and Driver reviews and they all reference 230mi range. There was an original test with that figure 6 months ago and i'm begining to think the just reference that rather than actually testing it again. I have not seen any 230mi range vehicle reviews on this forum but will...
How about air down to 35 psi or so. Someone should test that as everything I have seen up to now is standard 48 psi levels in snow. More of a traction test vs. range but it would be good to know. I'd do it but still a year away from delivery.
I happened to be in Vancouver and attended the open house an this is the first time I have seen the vehicles up close. First of all, Rivian did a great job in slowcasing both vehicles and there were plenty of staff to answer any and all questions.
My first up close impressions are that the...
I have the 20"AT's on order for occasional snow and very wet winters in my area. 98% is raod use and I am starting to second guess my choice. Like to hear more about winter performance for both 21's and 22's. WIll be watching and thanks for the info.
Hmmm...... Leather looks more upscale imo as I've always avoided wood trimmed options so definately some decisions to make. I like the look of the Ocean Coast but still doubting how it will hold up to staining over time. Had an all white leather interior on a Mustang GT convertible in years...
You make a good point about the added value post price increase and I did not know about the sweet flashlight not being part of the package. I wonder what else will be different when ALL the details come out. Good thing is we can change packages if needed. I dont care about the delivery date...
I too am constantly going back and forth trying to justify the Adventure package. The main draws for me are the Meridian sound system the cooled seats and the bluetooth speaker. Living in the Pacific Northwest, cooled seats are a nice to have but not needed. The Bluetooth speaker? cool but...
