Let us know when you get the address email and the adapter. Hopefully mine won’t be too much later at 52xx.
  2. First Charge with A2Z NACS to CCS adapter (success!)

I did. A couple of hours ago. Note it was an opt-in email saying I would get an email requesting my updated address later: Hi Michael, Good news! You can now opt-in to reserve your NACS DC adapter at no cost. This adapter will allow your Rivian vehicle to charge quickly, seamlessly and...
  3. Let's talk Tesla Supercharger parking etiquette...

Isn’t that why Rivian has tow straps in the Gear store and tow hooks on the front bumper? Of course the bumper winch would make this even easier. [Note: I’m kidding]
  4. Factory Shutdown Bingo

If you guess right you get the opportunity to by a truck with your predicted feature(s).
  5. Article: How do I get free Rivian-approved NACS DC adapter? Shipping in April!

I think the app filters are flakey. When I first tried it I got the same results as you. I was actually looking SF to LA which I’ve done more than SF to Seattle. Then I fiddled and it showed me most of the superchargers. For example the one in Kettleman city. The initial list looked like just...
  6. Article: How do I get free Rivian-approved NACS DC adapter? Shipping in April!

According to RJ it’s 15,000 super chargers. How many would it take to graduate from small number to medium? Also, there are quite a few Ford owners using the same adapter and it doesn’t appear much different than the magic docks that have been around for a while and I can verify those work...
  7. Powered Tonneau Cover Appears to be Back on New R1T Builds!

Has anybody had the new power tonneau for a while and have any data on how robust it is?
  8. Electrify America unveils Indoor Flagship Charging Station (opened Feb 9, 2024)

According to PlugShare it opened at 6:34 am this morning and one person charged a Chevy bolt and checked in on PlugShare
  9. R2 Product Launch at Laguna Beach on March 7th!

There is an ice cream truck. 3 numbered items (vehicles?) and 2 LGs. While the ice cream truck might be an EDV, I doubt it’s a completely new vehicle. I would guess 1-3 are R2s variants. Not sure what the LGs are.
  10. "Park brake performance reduced on steep grades" -- new since 2023.50.01?

Can’t you get a bigger increase in surface area by airing down to 30 PSI? The. Just use the compressor before you leave? ;-)
  11. Rivian Impact Report and Sustainability Goals

Isn’t the R1 small pack supposed to also be LFP?
  12. Rivian recommended maintenance schedule

I had them do a 5 tire rotation and mobile request. They said that 4 tire needs to be done at SC. YMMV
  13. OTA 2023.50.01 Software is Out! (w/ departure & preconditioning scheduling)!

Perhaps. How good is the AT&T signal where you park? It may just be having trouble completing the large downloads.
  14. OTA 2023.50.01 Software is Out! (w/ departure & preconditioning scheduling)!

I don’t have inside information, but best practice when rolling out updates like this is to do it randomly. This allows you to statistically treat it like an experiment and determine the likelihood that those problems were caused by the update or just randomly happened at the time of the update...
  15. Challenging PR for R1T (rear window replacement cost)

That is because they didn’t replace those parts. Which leads me to believe that either the $4200 Rivian replacement had additional damage, Rivian did unnecessary additional work, doubling the price or my repair skipped necessary steps. I can pretty much rule out the latter as the repair was done...
  16. Challenging PR for R1T (rear window replacement cost)

They do offer parts to third parties. I got my rear window replaced at Arseen Auto in San Jose for $1543.88 including parts, labor and tax. I did have to call around a bit. Rivian gave me half a dozen repair shops to check with and only Arseen actually had the glass.
  17. Yay! Santa Nella RAN Rivian charging station is OPEN!

I generally try to find lodging with a charger. A J1772 or Tesla destination charger makes for a more pleasant experience and a lot of places support it.
  18. Any considerations when charging two vehicles at home?

It depends on the situation. Normally me and my wife have no problem sharing a single EVSE for our MY and R1T (and a Prius Plugin we don’t drive much). With both of our daughters home for Xmas and driving all over the place and one of them not plugging in when she gets home late and GridShift...
  19. Software Update 2023.46.01

2022 VIN 52xx, no update. I’m pretty sure within the target vehicles Rivian does it in random order. They probably do a batch of employee ones first. I’ve seen no roll issues in my R1T but did have another non-electric vehicle roll down a hill towards me today. Fortunately both me and the car...
  20. When will Rivian start selling to rental companies?

Now that Rivian appears to be reducing their backlog, as evidenced by all the Vehicles in the Rivian Shop, when do folks think they will start doing fleet sales to Rentsl Car companies? They go for $149+/day on Turo. Rental car companies could rent them as premium vehicles.
