The cynic in me is saying they simply forgot to add a delay to Calgary and will add one at the next update in October. Would be such a Rivian thing to do, because its fucking weird Ontario is getting pushed when it's further along in development than Calgary.
Seems like a lot of Ontario folks are getting pushed back. 3-4 others on the facebook group have reported the same so far. Not good news for you guys...
I have that on mine in Calgary. I just booked a demo drive in Vancouver using a US zipcode (because they don't accept postal codes ) It doesn't mean anything.
Some good news, Rivian hiring technicians and service managers in Toronto and Calgary.

So anyone with a pre-order in B.C can get a vehicle straight away. You just have to call the service center and ask them for whats in inventory They apparently have "off-menu" trucks not in the shop available according to a poster who has been in contact with the delivery guys.
So a guy on the Facebook group had ordered only three weeks ago totalled his current car. He went to the showroom begged them for access to the R1 shop and they did it matching him for delivery right away.
just kill me….
Dug through some permits for the building, seems like any progress has been buried under a mountain of red tape. Rivian wants to change the building designation from industrial to direct control in order to make it a delivery center. They submitted the proposal in May 2022. As of now, it's...
Nobody wants to use NACS because it's better, they want to use NACS to make a deal with Tesla for Supercharger access. NACS without supercharger access is pointless because all the 3rd-party chargers will still be the same unreliable mess.
Volvo Cars NL has just announced deliveries have been delayed again until the end of 2024. Not a good omen considering Europe usually get the cars first. Are we looking at 2025 here?
