Selling you on service that the car manual says is not needed is so annoying. Itās easy to just point to the maintenance schedule and move on, but stop with that crap.
Can you find a new Honda dealer? In an expensive area, every inspection has been free for me for 10 years. Iāve spent maybe $2000 maintaining that car over -
10 years and 80000 miles, and I do every service. I have found that the avg ICE maintenance costs are really not much higher, if not...
I would hand in Rivian, Starlink, and Amazon if it meant more people had a say in the future.
And if you were being honest with yourself, youād admit that you arenāt willing to do the same.
Honestly sick and tired of this lazy argument. Ooohhh, Google employs so many people. Sure, itās also a crap environment and as soon as they can fire people, they are doing it.
No one can even articulate what Meta does except sell scam ads - which they admit is 17% of their revenue! Scam ads...
Yaāll can argue all you want. My only point is that I would have waited until we saw the result of the R2 launch. He was stuck at Rivian anyway - 0% chance he would have left.
If the R2 launch went well, they could have designed a package then. And if not, I would have kicked him to the curb...
Absolutely true. Sometimes, itās the luck of the draw. My local Ford dealer does everything white glove. My car is picked up for service. Itās dropped off afterwards. They communicate by text very proactively. But I canāt imagine that is the case for many people with Fords lol
While I think you need to go in eyes wide open, the difference is that Rivian told people it would be OK. Eg, Rivian would be able to do a lot with remote service, but that ended up being oversold.
So, while I šÆagree that you have to expect hiccups, itās another thing when you are told things...
While the competence at large car company dealers can vary, Iāve never had an issue buying a car in the last decade. I text them and get a good price. I go in and sign with no surprises. Itās every different than 20 years ago.
