I received mine on Wed. It was odd that it comes with no packaging or instructions. I also received it before it was added to my account, so I couldn't use it, and didn't feel like calling them.
I had to get a refund due to needing to register the vehicle myself. Rivian sent me the paperwork, but not the check. I had to bug my guide weekly for over a month. I had the best luck with calling or texting rather than email.
I opted for the self-registering option since I've been waiting for plates sine May. I received my docs quickly, but I had to constantly nag my guide to get my refund check, which took an additional 3 weeks. While registering, it became apparent that Rivian overcharged my sales tax by about...
My experiences:
Me: "Alexa, directions to ____"
Alexa: "I'm sorry, I can't do that"
or
Alexa: "I found multiple options. Would you like Option 1, ...2, ...3?"
Me: "Option 1"
Alexa: "I'm sorry, would you like Option 1, ...2, ...3?"
Me: "The first one"
Repeated until I give up or use the screen.
This fixed my issue of my tonneau retracting about 6" after attempting to close, and it wouldn't open fully. It took me several attempts to get it right.
I also forgot to ask for any paperwork to take to DMV. I already paid sales tax, so I'm hoping my plates will arrive in the mail. ? Emails to my guide have not been answered on whether they'll arrive in the mail or if I have to go apply myself.
You can use 'Alexa' wake word to activate Alexa, but she can't send texts, at least on iPhones. The left scroll button also activates Alexa, but I wish it could be set to activate Siri.
