Cancer sucks big time, I'm sorry to hear about your battle. But you should know that cancer is beatable... I've been in remission for ~30yrs from Hodgkin's lymphoma (I'm 50 now). I was super lucky I caught it early and Hodgkin's is super curable, but of course I'm at a much higher risk for...
They would have to be pretty strong as they are designed to hold the crossbars, which will likely be bearing significant levered weight of roof top tents, gearboxes, bikes, kayaks, and anything else someone could throw up there...
However to @EVerywhere 's question - I am using the lower L...
I paid $316 each from Walmart.com and wasn't smart enough to go directly to the marketplace sellers website where they are $275 each. Looks like they also have Hakka's in stock...

X-ices have been my go-to winter tire for the last 6-7 seasons / 3 sets for best all around wear and handling in snow, wet and dry conditions....however they only make them in the 22" size for the Rivian, which I just couldn't get behind on the truck plus they're completely out of stock...
PSA: I reached out to a Service Advisor at my local Service Center (2hrs away) last week who just sold me an extra set of AT wheels plus OE TPMS sensors. They even delivered them to my house at no charge while they were hitting some other appointments in the area. She was awesome, super...
So true. Testing in super cold temps is great to test battery and climate systems, but driving in intercontinental, dry snow is a totally different and generally much easier experience than the high water content cement we get in the maritime zones.
I'm copying your setup and am about to drill new holes in the L track. Quick question, how did you countersink those holes? Are you able to get a countersink bit into that L track? Never done that so don't have the countersink bit...another trip to Home Depot.... Thanks!
Like the all gunmetal look on the wheels, will be interested to see how those hold up after a few months of winter. Also like your taste in skis...I have the Navis FB for my spring touring rig. Sadly, they are my shortest ski so I will be experimenting with the gear box on the roof this weekend...
I have very limited time on the AT's in snow but we did get ~4" the other day so I ran up the road to test them out quickly. Uphill, it's solid as expected...but uphill is usually not the problem for skilled drivers with all seasons and a good 4WD system. Downhill/braking on unplowed / packed...
FWIW I did downtown Napa to SW Reno via Berryessa/Winters once this summer, on full charge. Google says 215mi and had less than 50mi left...I think it was like ~35-40mi on arrival. That was mild temps probably ~70 deg average on A/T tires with dry pavement, so would expect range to decrease in...
IMO, other than it being a plug that provides power to charge the truck, the Rivian wall charger provides zero benefits - no information, no charging data, no history, no costing info, no features. Might as well be a brick on the wall. Get something else if you want data/features.
Awesome, heard good things about it but trying to decide if I want to be able to close the tailgate and lock bed while I'm riding. Obviously can't do that with the length of the StepRamp. I guess I could always lock the ramp with the gear guard cable.
The R1T is my first truck and up until...
Done in about 5min, miscommunication between service scheduler and field tech on time window, so I was already out running errands when field tech called me. Met me in a Walmart parking lot nearby and got it done.
They were both very close to what had been set at the factory low 60's on the...
