That was me. Unless you cut a hole in the side of the tray it will sound extremely bad even if the box fits. Apparently the seats seal too well and there's nowhere for the air to go.
The cost per vehicle metric is not actually per vehicle in terms of manufacturing. Rivian is not spending $130k to build a single vehicle which they then sell for $90k.
Mine does the same. Maybe turn traction fully off? I get quite a bit more wheel spin punching it at 20mph in sport mode with traction fully off, so it probably has a little more power.
Youāre absolutely right, the front passenger side is objectively the best choice here. Teslas location isnāt good because youād have to park illegally to parallel park and charge.
EV tires are a real thing, itās not just marketing. Whether or not those real things are important to you are another story (sound insulation, lower rolling resistance, etc).
Just rotate and it wonāt be an issue. Also, try to avoid heavier braking on conserve mode - typically if Iām using it on the highway and see a slowdown ahead I will switch to AP mode for the more balanced regenerative braking
IMO itās 100% not worth the risk to use anything except for the OEM adapter. Sure it probably functions the same and itās probably safe, but if something does go wrong youāre going to be on the hook for a $70k vehicle with no assistance.
Really? The video posted by OP is significantly louder than my quad. Thereās no chance I could even get motor noise to pick up if I recorded a video.
IMO itās too early for a refresh. I hope this is retooling to prepare for the R2 while supply is outweighing demand in the R1 space. Thereās no reason to continue with custom orders when there is shop inventory available
Having a manual tonneau quad myself, I would definitely recommend getting the auto cover instead. The manual isnāt bad at all (LOVE how it looks) but it takes 5 minutes to get the bag out, uninstall it, zip the bag up, take everything out of the gear tunnel, then put the bag in.
I would do this...
I averaged ~2.38mi/kWh with 21s over the course of 1 full year, according to the trip meter. I've done zero road trips with the new Michelin's but I'm driving to Atlanta (~170 miles) for a concert in 3 weeks so I'll hopefully see over 2.4mi/kWh.
