  1. 20 degrees cooler inside (roof / windshield tint/film)

You rock, can't wait to see the results. I just wish you were here in TX with 100°+ temps to test with.
  2. Is it possible to jailbreak the infotainment system?

    1) Somebody needs to find the Ethernet connection(s) to the equipment that runs the displays & attempt to sniff them. - I'm personally willing to bet that all Ethernet comms between components are encrypted. 2) Best potential vector is to physically access one of the HW components on the...
  3. First Mile: Unsure

@kizamybute' I came away with a very similar impression after spending side by side time in both Lightning & R1T. The Lightning is the best F150 made to date, but it feels/drives/handles very "blah" compared to the R1T. Still a great vehicle, but nothing felt special about it. I agree with...
  4. $3500 for Black Rims on Launch Edition is too much - after market options?

Gotcha, I was just looking at backspace. Just reread the previous posts & now see that's not what y'all were talking about. Wider wheel will always stick out further if backspace is equal (and it's not).
  5. $3500 for Black Rims on Launch Edition is too much - after market options?

Actually, his math is correct. It's a backspace/offset difference of -3.65 to be precise. Your diagram rounds it up to 4mm (169 - 165).
  6. Any activity in the Austin, TX area?

Congrats, and I totally feel ya in wanting to get it ASAP. Not sure if your screen name has anything to do with this, but I couldn't help but sing "it's a cold Lone Star in my hand" after reading it... We have some really good friends that live in Spicewood, so I'm sure they'll be sending me...
  7. Any activity in the Austin, TX area?

    Congrats, dude!
  8. R1S Owners Guide Manual Available! ? (August 22, 2022)

Lol, I wasn't sure if that comment would make the edit. On a serious note, the liftgate cannot latch if the tailgate is down, so I don't believe you'll be able to drive that way. Does make me wonder the overall length from tailgate to the back of the front seats with everything laid flat. ?
  9. My Rivian nightmare…

My bad, somehow skimmed right over the fact you said you broke it...and displaced is not encouraging. I wish you a speedy recovery regardless!
  10. Any activity in the Austin, TX area?

There's more R1Ts in Austin metro than you realize. Deliveries won't really ramp up here until the SC is open though...
  11. My Rivian nightmare…

Get well soon, @kylealden , and congrats on the truck! Not sure if you've had many surgeries before, but I highly recommend trying PT first & avoiding surgery if possible.
  12. Alpha Superwolf

I dig it, but it's not going to happen. I expect we'll see something similar from the Scout subsidiary (or spinoff) of VW.
  13. Radar Detector hardwire, who has done it?

@litng , is the 12V there "ignition-switched", or is it always powered? I'm also curious about which mount/bracket you're using.
  14. Any limestone with Forest Edge interior out there ?

I saw a short owner video of Limestone & FE yesterday, but can't remember where & the interior look was brief.
  15. $3500 for Black Rims on Launch Edition is too much - after market options?

There's been quite a number of black 22 deliveries of late. If you're delivery ETA is in the next 2 months, don't change a thing in your config. If furtger out, change away.
  16. R1S Owners Guide Manual Available! ? (August 22, 2022)

Much better job describing than I did. I felt like I was a train wreck trying to explain that in real time!
  17. R1S Owners Guide Manual Available! ? (August 22, 2022)

It's the most logical explanation. Now I'm just curious how strong & rigid it is; RJ crawled over it through the back in that earlier video though. Rivian is working on R1S content, but no idea when they'll release it.
  18. CCS connectors coming to Tesla Superchargers in the US says Elon Musk

Pretty sure the issue with adapters & high speed DCFC is heat. Probably need native cooled cables at each charger. I'm sure someone with actual technical knowledge might chime in here.
