I also received this email - I too am anxious to know more about how they are doing, when the actual ordering tool will release "2Q 2020"? In my company that is June - Sep 2020, as we are in 4Q 2019 now... Our fiscal year starts on April 1st (always worth a wink and a nod!)... Anyways - I am...
My confirmation says the following
"Due to the volume of guests, access to the vehicles is restricted to viewing only"
I am totally ok with this - if the exhibition is anything like the ones I have seen in videos and pics - it will be awesome, we will get a chance for a test drive soon enough...
I have to admit - my husband and I have owned (and currently own) Fords - F-150, F-350s (2), Ford Explorer, etc. I like their trucks - and I like their SUVs. I currently drive the Fusion PHEV and really like it - but I also want a SUV again, only if it is a full EV (hence my reservation for the...
I have been wondering how a trade in could work - and I like what I am seeing above - if Tesla is successfully using a third party firm then I imagine Rivian will too. At least I hope so, as the already mentioned tax would be STEEP in Washington state
Excellent! I have my deposit in on the Rivian but I love seeing more EVs coming to market - more mainstream, more opportunity for development and increasing the number of EVs on the road mean it will be easier to seek out services and accessories in the future.
Interesting - I saw this pic when I first saw the article above, I would have to trace it down but I could have sworn they said it was another picture of the Rivian - but if it is on FORD property and is a FORD prototype, that lends some drama ;-D Let the race begin!
Bring it! I will be replacing my PHEV with the R1S, but we would also like to have all EVs in the future, a smaller crossover as a companion vehicle would be great!
Hi Jason,
Most of our outdoor activities are less than 50 miles from home so low risk. Our recreational property is 200 miles by highway which has several charging locations (LEVEL 2 and 3, public, nonTesla) along the route and one in the nearest town (Level 2). So I would feel comfortable...
Hi Everyone,
I'm Julie - I just recently pre-ordered the R1S after first learning about the vehicle through a friend who attended the LA Car Show last fall. I currently drive a Ford Fusion Energi Titanium PHEV - the EV part is great, it is a dog when 100% on ICE 4 cylinder, the hybrid mode is...
I guess I have thought that the SUV was priced higher simply because of the back end - truck bed (even with super cool features) vs. enclosed interior with a third row of seats or cargo area. Otherwise they appear to be similarly equipped. But I haven't studied the details to that level - I am...
Hi Franke,
Unfortunately all I have is that quote in my confirmation email - here is the complete response minus a few links and other personal details:
Your Rivian preorder is confirmed.
If at any time you decide you'd like to switch models, no need to cancel your order and lose your...
Thanks Hydro - I have added a post to the preorder thread :-D I totally agree with you - I am sincerely hoping all of the cool toys and features are included, but not sure until Rivian confirms the trim levels - so far it seems the items dictating price is the battery size/range...
About the...
Pre-Ordered a R1S - May have to wait a little longer - time for me to start saving my pennies :like: I have driven multiple SUVs - the last was a Volvo XC90 - Which I loved dearly - but I had the EV bug, so tested out my theory with a Ford Fusion Energi Titanium PHEV, I love the car in 100% EV...
I would check out JuiceBox - they say they have "Load balancing across multiple EVSEs" when you have two or more units installed, plus it has phone app and you can apply priorities. I have one - it is a level 2 charger, handles my PHEV in about 2 hours and should provide a full charge the R1S...
I think the price is aligned for the value - comparable to Tesla (Less expensive actually) and current truck offerings from Ford, etc. We have an F-350 and it was over the $75k mark when it was new... This truck is most likely closer to a F-150 but still...
