  1. Snow socks for the 20s.

Which chain did you get? Socks seems a bit expensive and I need to keep one for compliance reason in WA. I have been going to Snoqualmie ski resort at least 10 times a year for last two years and never had to to use chains in my previous vehicle (with Michelin CrossClimate2 tires), I am guessing...
  2. R1S : Oct-Dec Delivery (Now Jan-Feb or Feb-Mar 2023)

Rivian's offer was low $28k and so are all other online options I tried. Carmax in person offered me $34,400. If you car's carfax report is clean, you should get more. Also Telluride has higher demand than Palisade as far I heard.
  3. R1S : Oct-Dec Delivery (Now Jan-Feb or Feb-Mar 2023)

I am also questioning myself why I am changing the car now. I loved my Palisade Limited! I will miss the carplay, separate rear climate control, power 3rd row, and HUD. I think interior size is about the same. I wasn't a big fan of captains chair since kids are mostly sitting their anyway. But...
  4. R1S : Oct-Dec Delivery (Now Jan-Feb or Feb-Mar 2023)

Right! You pay sales tax on the difference. It's same for any kind of trade-in, like phone trade in. I could save $3k in taxes if I traded in at Rivian.
  5. R1S : Oct-Dec Delivery (Now Jan-Feb or Feb-Mar 2023)

Just sold my Hyundai Palisade Limited to Carmax. They came out $6k higher than Rivian offer. My car has an accident on record, I think that is making big difference for some. Carvana and kbb all cash were also close to Rivian's offer. If the price difference was below $3k, it would be better to...
  6. R1S : Oct-Dec Delivery (Now Jan-Feb or Feb-Mar 2023)

I am super pumped up! Delivery date tomorrow morning ?
  7. Which car loan lender did you go in Washington state?

That’s a good rate! USAA is not an option for me and I feel like rate has probably went up a bit.
  8. Which car loan lender did you go in Washington state?

My R1S is ready and they asked me to pick up on Monday. I pushed back the date to Thursday and shopping for lenders. Rivian (through Chase AFAIK) offered me about 6.5% interest. The lowest I found locally (Homestreet bank) is 3.5% after EV and auto pay incentives. I checked several credit...
  9. [Updated][Seattle Area] Rivian Roundup, Saturday 11/12/22 9a-11a

Thanks for organizing, the coffee, and thanks to everyone who showed up! This is the first time I saw an R1S in person. My R1S is in transit but haven’t seen one until yesterday.
  10. [Updated][Seattle Area] Rivian Roundup, Saturday 11/12/22 9a-11a

Thanks for taking the initiative! I don't have a Rivian yet but dying toto see one R1S in person. Also would love to see the mods and ppf. I live in Issaquah so both are about the same distance for me.
  11. ? Estimated Delivery Date Window is LIVE! What’s Yours?! ?

Even though the estimate is for Jan 2023, just got an email that my 8-step is now open! Going to talk to my guide tomorrow.

  13. ? Estimated Delivery Date Window is LIVE! What’s Yours?! ?

I am a bit disappointed. Particular because planning for couple of ski trips in December and a long drive during Christmas. Also, have to wait a year for the tax credit.
  14. Oct-Dec 2022 Delivery Windows

Alright, got new update. I don't belong here anymore guys! :( Maybe someone should a R1S Jan-Feb 2023 thread
  15. The rain is finally here, PNW! And so are the sensor issues...

Wow! Did it work well in the smoke though? I am fan of my Palisade's adaptive cruise control and LKA as it works (mostly) even on rainy days. When I go to the mountain though, sometimes ACC stops working possibly because radar sees obstruction with sand & salt layer.
  16. R1S test drive - My honest opinion

I haven't got my R1S yet but test drove an R1T. I too got little disappointed when I floored the pedal - no violent picking up. But it did quickly accelerated to 80 afterwards. I think in some interview RJ actually explains the problems with instant torque and he said that the torque has to be...
  17. EV charger installation in the Kirkland WA area?

Do you need to get a permit if you install it by yourself? I saw some YouTube videos about installation but no one talks about getting permit.
  18. Hurricane Preparations

Don’t have a Rivian yet but planning to install this 120v transfer switch to support upto 4 critical circuits. My two top priorities are furnace fan and refrigerator (and some lights at home) which should be supported by 1.5kw output from Rivian...
