I got similar answer from my guide as well.
"Also, I wanted to let you know that R1S deliveries will begin delivery end of May with a full ramp up in June and July. "
Seems like my April/May estimate will be pushed back to at least July. And if they start with employees only then it will be...
If you are ok with Ioniq 5 size and tow capacity, I think you should go for it. It would be also cheaper to run likely. For me, the reason for getting an R1S is the size.
I have power 3rd row on my Hyundai Palisade Limited and use it a lot. I lower to put my skiis, inflatable boat, camping gear etc., and raise it when I go to Costco so that things don't roll around (we go to Costco weekly and buy a lot of perishable things from Costco).
After not getting invited on the mobile test drive event, my guide was able set up one. I did the test drive this morning. On regular driving around, didn’t feel much difference in power but did a 0-80 and that was awesome!!!
The look is ok, very traditional. For platinum, I really didn't like plasticy look of the front. But that's partly because of they wanted to make the front lighter. The way frunk open is way more useful IMO!
Looks like there is battery factory coming to PNW (Washington state).

This is what my guide told me in an email on April 20.
“ Also, I misspoke about the preliminary buyer's agreement being sent out when there is a match. You should be receiving that shortly, but it's simply a confirmation of your order. I apologize for any confusion that this may have caused.”
It's probably not an official big event. But when I played around to reschedule I found that there are several other slots available in Seattle. I am buying an R1S but the test drive will be on an R1T.
Talked to my guide again this morning. Wasn't clear about the PBA before. Looks like you get the PBA once there is a match with the next batch of production (I am guessing location is also another factor). And after that it should be about 6 weeks to get the vehicle.
Also today signed up for a...
Currently own a 3 row SUV and used the 3rd row for adults several times. Two kids with car seat occupy the 2nd row and there isn't much space left for an adult. One or two In-laws visit sometimes, particularly my mother-in-law. We are going to have an au-pair in two months, so likely over next...
Talked to my guide today. Similar to other people's experience about the timeline. Locked the configuration (no more fun anymore with changing config!). I was interested about the cargo space behind 3rd row, which she didn't have available but she gave me width, height, and depth in inches. With...
I am curious to know about the 500A charging and the charging curve at EA chargers. If anyone got this update and going to do fast charge, please post your experience.
Minivans also has very poor approach and departure angles. If you have a hitch, most likely it's hanging below the body and would cause even smaller departure angle. Never saw a minivan with raised height to fix this ?
