Love my A2Z. I now look for Tesla SCs as they tend to have many more open chargers and are near excellent rest options like Granzellas up in Williams, CA. Muffaletta sandwich was scrumptious
Have a A2Z and used it. Total game changer in areas of poor infrastructure. I was in a area that had very few slow CCS chargers and was able to find a Tesla SC. Yes not all accept non teslas but its nice to double your possible charging options
If I was in your boat and 8k is getting out of reach I'd downgrade and get the 2025. Are you really going to wheel a 80-90k suv? Cut the all terrain and go dual motor maybe. If you really want the same specs then getting a 2024 with a short lease would make sense as by that time R2s will be out...
Love mine, just used yesterday in Yuba City, very limited Chsrgers around there. Added some grip tape. Side note a Y owner chatted me up and said he just did a demo drive of a R1T is wants to get it.
I was routed to the one that is near town, but had gotten off on the wrong exit and found that newer one. Didnt even check to see if compatible, plugged in and didnt work. That one is much nicer as has many more SC, more space and not quite as busy. Had to use the one near town that only has 8...
We are seeing .70c kWh here in Northern CA, I think it saves .18c on the mo plan. I was in Central CA (Paso Robles) and the non membership pricing was .55, so just charging 2x on a trip pays for it. Good to know you can turn off/on when needed as I dont do roadtrips every month
I would agree with that, but if you look at all the absolute waste this company spends on the service side for example- having to rent cars out for weeks as service centers are backed up, they would save much more money by hiring more staff and build bigger Service centers. They now have term'd...
You could make a case that having CCS native is better as you have 2x charging stations. Elon has not opened up all the V3 NACS chargers so there are times you will need a non-Tesla SC station. If you do get a native NACS you will then probably need a NACS->CCS as you will not have access to all...
While I agree that the presentation shouldnt cost alot for a cash strapped company, we have bought a $80K+ vehicle and should be provided with the care of a higher end clientele. Its all in the perception and they should still be making every effort to give you the best experience and think you...
Its great to have both in your toolbox, I just used my Typhoon this weekend on a roadtrip and the winery we were at had free Tesla L2 charger so used my J1772 (I have Lectron) for that and was able to get some juice while enjoying our wine.
I just got my A2Z and it might be made physically in China but by no means is this some sort of cheap knock off. Extremely well made and there is no way the Tesla/Rivian official one will be any better quality. Headed on my first road trip that Id probably wouldn't take if I couldn't charge at...
Got my Typhoon and went over to a local SC to test. Ordered 3/18. This thing is no knockoff, has some heft to it and no way the Tesla one will be built better IMHO. Worked petfect but the plug and charge rates are crazy! Had to take up 2 spots as the outside spot was taken. I'll do another test...
Ive never been so excited for a piece of plastic since I was a kid for Hannukah. Didnt realize how many stops these things take when going ground. Mine is on 7th stop in 2 days. Hasnt backtracked but has a long way from QC to SF, ETA for me is Tues. Excited to join the Bay Area Rivian group...
