Check with https://modernspare.com. It doesn't look like they carry Rivian at the moment but perhaps they may have some information on when they will and maybe even give you an estimated price for your comparison.
I purchased a spare tire package (included jack) from them for my Mach-E.
BTW...
100%. My only change would be to not use the brake pedal as the trigger. There are plenty of times, e.g., where I meet up with others and wait for their arrival from my vehicle and I don't need the vehicle on any more. If the vehicle is already on, how would one turn off the vehicle. I would...
Hey Rivian, not everyone has or wants to be on Twitter. If you have R1S news, minimally contact your R1S pre-order holders directly. You have our email addresses - USE 'EM! smh
But on the other hand, what does that say about the people who are responsible for properly documenting the features. If they did their job effectively to begin with, the CEO of the company wouldn't have to take time out of his day to make this video. Not really how I want to see a CEO spend...
Here's a novel idea. Instead of speculating and spending time squinting at the video, why not just tweet RJ back and ask him, are those R1T's or R1S's? I'd do it but I don't use Twitter.
Haven't read the article yet (beyond what's here) but my first off-the-cuff (and meaningless) thought is ... wow, RJ owns a tie ... and looks even more like Clark Kent, news-reporter. ... Sorry, couldn't resist. Now back to the regular scheduled program.
Surprisingly InsideEVs wrote a similar article. Comment section is attempting to set the author straight and it appears one correction has been made. Unfortunately the article is still far from journalism and based more on assumptions than facts.
Your hunch would be in line with how the Mach-E rolled out. It was revealed in Nov 2019 and was in production and delivering 13 months later in Dec 2020 (during the early days and height of the pandemic no less).
Pre order Apr 2019, R1S LE, no offroad pkg, 21", El Cap w/ OC (currently but may change pending 1st mile drive). Target: May/June 2022
See below.
My thought exactly, in addition to early investors, friends, etc., with orders for an R1T/S. Have to keep in mind their production rate is...
Thanks for the update. My thoughts about the building space were basically the same. See my post back in July in this thread. I haven't driven by the area since this spring. Would be interesting to see some pics on their progress.
From the online configurator:

Reinforced underbody shield

According to the initial Rivian spec sheet that was floating around the internet back when Rivian revealed, the lowest (of four) vehicle heights is referred to as kneel/park mode. There may have been some adjustments to these specs (and names) since then but here are the height / ground...
We might not have any confirmation the Chicago location will be a full blown show room (meaning with full size vehicles) yet, but based on that blueprint there would appear to be plenty of room to put at least two Rivian EAVs on display in any of the four retail spaces on the first floor. The...
To be honest I was surprised they were even doing new construction. According to previous Rivian articles I've read and even Customer Service reps I've talked to, Rivian's first choice is to repurpose an existing structure like they're doing in I believe Laguna Beach, CA. I somehow was under...
Rivian website now reports the R1S and R1T specs for "Width (side mirrors folded)" as 82 in. Was 79 in.
I doubt the body width increased by 3 inches. I suspect either the mirrors don't retract as much, or the mirrors got bigger (different style or type?) or Rivian just simply fixed a typo...
It would seem they still have a ways to go for the Chicago location. After my mass vaccination shift at the United Center I drove by the Rivian "Customer Engagement Center" in the Fulton Market area and took the following pictures ...
If it does I would hope it's not limited to just the R1T as I'm sure many R1S owners will camp within the cargo area. Most references I've seen to "camping mode" is in reference to Tesla's, where minimally the HVAC and infotainment systems are available while all other systems are shut down...
Exactly. As RJ said in the video, the "entire ownership process." E.g. discussing particulars of their purchasing options, delivery, trade-ins, vehicle options that become available not only before purchase but after, servicing and maintenance, providing feedback, etc. I would go as far to say...
I previously saw a video (before it got banned) showing where but don't recall. I want to say lower front console area? I'm pretty sure @skyote and @jimcgov3 saw the video so one of them may recall where.
