I was watching this video from Ben Sullins: and am a bit puzzled He has a section re. Rivian's charging speed vs. Tesla and how, all else equal (same hardwired wall charger), the Rivian charges more slowly. Why would one car charge more slowly than the other, all else equal? I am obviously...

So I was thinking about modifying my config and stick with the default 21s instead of 22s. But this probably would push my delivery date back because, you know, lower margins and all, so I guess I am going to stick with my current config. Or am I looking at this the wrong way?

I'm surprised they have not tried to "buy out" quad motor reservation holders by offering the new "standard" 4x4/2 motor build at a discounted price. I would happily drop my quad motor for a dual motor if the price was right.

Based on my Tesla experiences, I am pretty conservative by nature, so I am expecting H2 '24 even though my initial delivery date was Q3 2023. R1S large pack ordered in November 22. I would LOVE to be proven wrong.

That is my understanding as well, ie the loophole is that a biding contract is treated the same as taking delivery before 12/31/22.
