Learned last week during a mobile service that the doors are designed to allow water to drain..and sometimes the drains get plugged up. I noticed the bottom of my door (with panel removed) was wet on the bottom.
If you're hearing sloshing, maybe you can find those plugs without having to...
Another issue with using the brakes (as opposed to coasting) is the ACC not taking into consideration the vehicles behind you.. but that's a generalized problem with most ACC's.
Does anyone know if the brake lights come on when letting off the accelerator/ coasting during normal operation?
I changed to Evolve on the sides, and notice the hue you're talking about. Went to their mid-product CIR for the windshield and definitely has LAH, but not as much as the Evolve.
As far as the top/back can't do with the device, like mentioned above it has to measure both sides.
I put some...
I apologize if that's confusing. I attached a reference sheet.
Overall decent stock IRR.
I have noticed a huge difference in my windshield (70% VLT with ceramic). Windshield was replaced (mis-installed?), and going back to stock sucked. However, I went to a mid ceramic 2nd time and there...
For anyone interested, I measured the front and rear passenger windows prior to tinting.
Front doors stock: VLT 80%, UVR 100%, IRR 77.4
Rear doors: VLT 20%, UVR 97.4, IRR 92.2.
25% Front matches up to the rear stock window well. Ended up re-tinting/darker to block out the gawkers. Hope...
Checkout "Pan the Organizer" on YT. Went with the Adam's graphene (middle grade) coating, which was really easy to apply once the prep was done.
Cleaning: use a foam gun.
Drying: I found using a drying agent is key for reducing swirls etc. It also helps by adding SiO2 protection on top...
I understand there's some battery management needed, and also that the compressor RPM issue has been addressed from early deliveries, but I haven't heard anything like that while charging. It does get really hot charging 48A, so much that I've added a HVAC unit to the garage. Hindsight a...
FWIW, I fixed the window noise by applying black silicone (Permatex 85118). Then I had the trim piece (piano key) replaced, which resulted in another weatherstrip getting torn, and back to lots of noise.
I'm 2 weeks into a rental. Hoping the rental expense motivates this process. If it doesn't, they have major issues to work out.
What happened to our "1 point of contact (guide)"? No one seems to have ownership, whether it's service requests or the registration process. Absolutely zero...
Thanks for sharing. Good to know, and gives another reason I'll remember to carry an alternative key.
Just noticed my key fob battery is < 3v, probably explains why it's been kind of meh. Good thing I won't need it in a couple days when my temp tag expires.
Thanks for the time you spent making the video. Spent some time under the truck today investigating what I assume is the same rattle several others have experienced.
The only thing I found that seems off is the driver's side plunge joint. There's definitely some looseness, especially...
I can vouch for the EVS aluminum puck. Fast shipping, high quality. Still waiting on my spare/Jack so haven't compared, but needed a solution for changing a tire.
I put 70% ceramic on the windshield....going much more would have added haze (LAH). Front doors went with 28%/ceramic. There seems to be decent IR coverage on the other windows stock.
Very satisfied with the windshield, just be aware of the haze trade-off.
Thanks for the suggestion. Just got mine today. Saw your install notes.. any other tips/tweaks on their installation instructions before I give it a go?
