  1. Drop charging

Did Rivian resolve this issue for you? I'm in Loomis and have a similar experience. My level 2 charging plug gets very warm to the touch and slows to around 7kW. Curious if you're just dealing with the new normal or if they were able to fix it. Thanks.
  2. Bed mounted vs hitch mounted bike rack?

I second this sentiment. I have a 1Up rack that I love, but tailgate pads are so easy and convenient and I barely take a hit to the range when I use it. The tailgate rack definitely causes more of a range hit than the tailgate pad, but a crossbar rack on the bed of the truck causes way more...
  3. Large Battery charging amount

Depends on your wheels/tires and your driving history. The car learns range based on how you drive. Sounds like you probably have the 20” AT setup.
  4. Sound louder after SW update 2024.27.01

Looking forward to the update. I currently listen to music at 23 and can still have a conversation at that level. Can’t wait to pump some tunes.
  5. 2024.19.04 bug: frozen video

I'm having the same issue. How did you do the soft reset?
  6. Cybertrucks in the wild - quick comment

I took a trip in a Cyberbeast the last couple days. It's fast and its fun to drive. That's about where my positive impressions end. It has a horrible back seat to ride in. The front seats are way too big and tall, so you stare at the back of a seat, the side windows are small, the rear...
  7. Have any of you tried towing a wakeboard boat from Sacramento Area to Lake Tahoe?

Thanks. I have the 23LSV as well. The elevation gain is the variable. There are charging options along the way, but are sometimes full and unreliable (often out of service) which is what is giving me a little pause.
  8. Have any of you tried towing a wakeboard boat from Sacramento Area to Lake Tahoe?

I'd like to take our 23' Malibu up to Tahoe this summer. Not sure if I can do it with the R1T. I searched the forum but couldn't find any other threads on it. Anyone have any experience with it? Any advice? Thanks.
  9. Keep Porsche 991 (2019 Carrera) & buy a cheap Truck OR trade-in Porsche for a Rivian

Yesterday I had 2 mountain bikes in the back of my R1T when an Audi S4 pulled up and gave me a couple playful engine revs at the stoplight. I dusted him off the line and then proceeded to drive my loaded truck to the trailhead. Made me realize I don’t need an S4.
  10. 20" Inch 20" Michelin Defender LTX M/S2

I have this set up as well. I switched from my OEM 21s to a set of Atomic Wheels 20s and they are great. Same efficiency that I got from my 21s but Defender LTX M/S2s did way better in the snow this winter than my Pirelli’s did last season. I wish they had a little more aggressive AT look, but...
  11. Simple 10" JL Subwoofer Install in R1T

I’m not following. It won’t fit in the storage tray but it only takes up half the space? I like what you’ve done but I’d love to find a solution that fits in the tray.
  12. Planning first road trip

Freeway driving in conserve mode doesn’t do the same damage to the tires as it would around town. Once I’m up to freeway speed I switch to conserve for longer trips and it definitely helps with range.
  13. Cybertrucks in the wild - quick comment

Saw one in the wild the other day. About what I expected.
  14. Cybertrucks in the wild - quick comment

Can the CT carry 3 mtbs and 3 longboards? It’s not like the R1T is a big truck, but at least you can still use it as a truck.
  15. Camp Speaker Curiosity Teardown ?

How can it be so over-engineered and well made, but so quiet? Am I the only one who is surprised by the lack of volume? We have portable Bluetooth speakers 1/4 the size that pump out more sound. I enjoy the speaker and we use it a fair amount, but I wish it went a lot louder.
  16. 20" tire recommendations

I’ve done a lot of Mtn and fast freeway driving since I installed the defenders, so I don’t have a good sample size for comparison. My gut feeling is they are slightly less efficient (~5%) than the 21” pirellis, but that may just be my driving tendencies lately.
  17. 20" tire recommendations

No traction problems at all. Definitely better snow traction than the A/S OEMs. Been driving in a ton of rain in Northern CA and I’m really glad I got them.
