I get the original intended use. No disagreement from me on that.
But if the trades are a target, which is should be, then trades need more range. Working out of a van with on board power is a huge selling point. Ford lost their ass on the eTransit. Real world range was sub 100miles, and as bad...
Rivian needs to put a larger battery in the EDV for it to get peopleās attention. Thatās the only thing the Brightdrop had going for it. 160 miles empty isnāt enough for the price point.
Super quiet. Handle road imperfections flawlessly and smooth.
Running about 1.85-1.95 miles/kwh.
Iām shocked how quiet and smooth they are.
My other Rivians have the stock OEM Pirelliās and there no comparison in terms of noise and smooth ride.
This is them installed.
They do have a slightly different offset and they sit out wider. No rubbing for me in All Purposeā¦I canāt tell you rubbing on anything else.
first set of XTMs. All other 5 Rivians I have are the OEM pirellis.
I can report these are MUCH quieterā¦.MUCH. Still playing with the tire pressure to find the best efficiency. Iām at 62psi now and the ride is butter smoothā¦running around 1.9-1.95 efficiency
Weight should not be an issue. If anything is an issue it will be tread pattern and/or figuring out the best tire pressure to balance efficiency and comfort.
they look great.
honestly, Iām less worried about efficiency. If I need to road trip I will toss on the 22 sport darks I have with the...
Been less than 24 hours and I drive like a grandma (no offense to the Grandmaās š¤£), but the tread is definitely deeper, and the rubber is much softer than the KO3s.
I have the OEM Pirelliās on the other Rivianās i have and for me, never had an issue. I wanted to see how these were since new and...
Decided to swap immediately upon delivery to the new XTM.
Aggressive, and oddly quiet. They do take a few spins on the balancer to get perfectly balanced.
Will update as I go on efficiency but on the first trip I was right around 1.9. I have them running at 62psi.
