Congrats. I'm happy for you. You have exceptional taste. I ordered the same setup on 1/1/19 and I still am waiting, though hopefully not much longer but I did lose out on the tax credit. No rhyme or reason or order priority by Rivian which only creates animosity and discontent (read Rivian suxs...
Well, I guess this is progress. I feel like I played the lottery 4+ years ago and still waiting for my delivery estimate to be updated. I never got an invite to the R1S shop even though my configuration was just sitting there. Hurry up and wait. Cheers to all forum members.
Yes but I understand the motors are also getting updated to reduce cost, weight, and package size. I am not sure if this is good or bad.

Yep, I only had to wait 4 years and 5 days from the time I placed my deposit. Last night I received the email, confirmed my configuration, was assigned a guide and scheduled an intro chat set for 1/9/.
The thought of tire size vs range still weighs heavy on my mind.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the upcoming website update that promises custom vehicle delivery analytics? It’s due any day now and might have affected deliveries. Just a thought.
You have questions? This is also my exact configuration and my order date is 01/01/2019 and I’m 1.5 hours from the Virginia SC. I’ve heard NOTHING. The CS folks have now sent me swag on two occasions, but all I want for Christmas is my R1S.

Give engineers more credit, we should expect exactly that. If I remember correctly from Sandy Munro's YouTube on the battery pack, Rivian uses fire-suppressive foam around their battery cells which is different than Tesla's. Only time will tell.... The vehicles should be safe for our property...
Fire seems like the biggest threat to EV ownership. According to the article, batteries have the potential for corrosion if moisture leaks into the battery compartment. While the NY Post makes no mention of a Rivian vehicle it does not exclude them either. Do we know anything that would make...
Must be something from you LE Pioneers. My R1S Adventure configuration menu does not
look like that. I don't think I would be so lucky if I change my configuration.
I thought LE were all Launch Green, when did that change? Totally misread this email.

I'm surprised to seek 184 R1Ts for sale on Autotrader and it seems unfair to see a dealer selling the only R1S on the site for a $50k profit but what the heck? That is an impressive amount of speculation in the marketplace.
Interesting theory and may correctly describe the view from 35,00 feet. However, under your scenario, those of us that configured a max pack and were then forced to change it when Rivian eliminated the choice would move back of the line perhaps hundreds or thousands of places through no fault...
