Add the Performace package to the DM...this will give you Sand Mode. We traded our 22 Quad for a 23 PDM w/Max pack which now looks like we stole it compared to a 25. The PDM Max has been great for us including towing.
Agree. Pirelli makes good tires, they just don't last and very doubtful they would be replaced unless defective. They seem to be an OEM play, making a "custom tire" and hope people repurchase at very high prices on future sets.
Correct, but I don't believe Rivian has shipped any Rivian's with Michelin tires yet. Thus this discussion would be about Michelin replacing a Pirelli. That said, Michelin has replaced OEM tires on our Acura twice (premature wear) and once on a Honda. Goodyear has also done the same. It's...
Did service walk you through a Hard Reset and a deep sleep? Park the Rivian at home, make sure all key fob is far away, close your Rivian app, turn your blue tooth off, put your phone in the house...you get the idea...then do a hard reset...wait at least 30 min. but Rivian has said longer if...
Agree. I no longer live in Wisconsin, but 100's of my relatives still do. And they are all very interested in a Rivian, but know nothing about them, and are surprised when I say, Rivian is an American Company, Manufactured in Normal, IL.
A couple of questions for clarification. Your OEM tire was 48 lbs + wheel. New Michelin's...I think your Platinums are E1 load rated or a 119? Is that correct? If so, as that is a 10 ply tire, you should probably air that up to 60 psi (Max for the E1 is 80). Also, the Michelin weighs 55 lbs...
Lots of discussion about the 22” tire/wheels. Remember, the New Pirelli 22” for Rivian Is the MS tire. It’s an all New 22” Pirelli made for Rivian, and I think/heard very low rolling resistance but no data to be found.
I just traded my 2022 Quad for a 2023 PDM Max..this past weekend we did...
Overall, the A/C compressor is loud. But should not be that loud. Our 1st 2022 R1T was very loud day 1. I had submitted a ticket. Rivian replaced the entire A/C system..compressor, evaporator, etc. Result was a much quieter unit and more effective.
We got 2.04 with over 30k. On our 2022 Quad. This includes thousands of miles of pulling our camper at 1.1-1.3 on 22” tires. Btw, we just traded for a PDM Max Pack. On a road trip currently. We got closed to 348 miles on the highway yesterday. Ideal conditions..82 degrees and ~76 mph.
Well, we traded our 2022 Quad for a 2023 PDM Max yesterday. The continuous improvements Rivian has made are noticeable. The 23 is much better fit, finished, quieter, etc. We thought our 2022 was great until we drove the 2023 300 miles home. All for an amazing price
They haven’t provided much detail, but Pirelli is now making a new tire for Rivian. There is the 22” like we have on ours, but then their is a new MS version (from memory) on their website. We traded our Quad yesterday for a PDM Max and were talking with the staff. They were saying the new...
The Rivian rep (15:20 min mark) doesn't state the #, but the pack structure looks to be the same size with room for 9 modules. The part about the Ascent Motors is interesting.
