I hope so. That would be a nice comfort. I can't imagine how a vehicle can be in general assy for over 3 months without the rest of the line being dramatically affected.
No 8 steps yet. There was a snaffu last week where my guide thought that my R1T had completed production and told me that the 8 steps should open shortly for me. It turned out to be a "glitch in the system" and my vehicle is still in assy. My guess is that QC caught something at the very end.
My R1T is in general assy and has a VIN assigned (and has for a month so far), but is now expected to deliver in August-Sept. I feel like my configuration is pretty standard so I don't know what is going on anymore.
Supposedly my Rivian is in general assembly according to my guide, but my window (according to the e-mail) went from June-July of this year to August- September. It is hard to believe that a vehicle can be in general assy for 3+ months.
This snappiness difference that you are referring to is called "jerk" or the derivative of acceleration. Since the power more than offsets the weight difference between the M3P and the Rivian, the difference in jerk is most likely due to suspension, center of mass, and tire differences. The...
Looks like a fun adventure!
How do you go about finding overland campsite destinations? I think I have backpacking in the PNW figured out, but I have a hard time finding overlanding destinations that aren't also campgrounds (which defeats the purpose IMO).
Congratulations on your new truck!
The numbers that the truck reports from that trip don’t seem to add up when I try to extrapolate 100% range. They all check out except when I compare kWH consumed to percentage of pack used. 32 kWH for 29% of pack would give a 110 kWH pack which doesn’t...
