I just got the email from my guide ! R1T, LE, LG, FE, 20" AT.
He said "We will need to schedule a time for the intro call as soon as possible, as your configuration was selected for the fulfillment, and things can progress quickly!" From the time slots available, the soonest I could schedule...
In think the Chicago showroom idea got shut down after the Illinois Dealer Association lawsuit. They are planning a service center just north of the United Center.
That's a lot of R1T's in the north lot! I'm sure they are adding to it everyday.
If you are in the March-April delivery window, your truck might be already built and just waiting for transport. Any changes to the configuration could push your delivery time out further. After the price change...
There seems to be a difference in the new option for the Reinforced Underbody Protection from what I saw at the The First Mile Event in Normal. If I recall correctly, the panels looked more like plastic and were black. That maybe due to being a preproduction model. The picture in the...
Here's a picture of FG from the First Mile Event in Normal. It was early morning on a sunny day, so you can see the contrast between the front section in the sun and the side in shade, which looks darker. There is a lot of flake in FG.
I'm still on the fence.
My R1T LE configuration went from $79,500 to $91,500. After dropping the underbody shield (2000), spare tire (900) field kit (150) and switching from FE to BM (2000), I'm at $86,450.
I've been waiting for 3 1/2 years and I'm not getting any younger. Waiting another 2...
No contact yet. I'm guessing they will do the FE and OC in batches.
I'll be traveling a lot by air in March, so I'm okay with a delivery in April. I'm close enough to the factory, so I can pick it up, if that's an option or they can just put it on a flatbed and deliver it. No waiting for...
I have a March/April delivery window and no Guide contact yet. I'm guessing I'm not alone, since I haven't heard anyone past the January-February delivery windows mention Guide contacts.
I ordered the Rivian EVSE, but I have a 14-50 outlet already installed. I prefer to have a backup option...
This is what I'm listening to while I'm waiting for my R1T. "Searching For My Love" (R1T). Robert Plant still can sing, but toned down from his Led Zeppelin days. Allison Krauss is a great companion on the new album "Raise the Roof". Lot's of good songs.
For $169,000 you could purchase an R1T and R1S ! I like what Lucid is doing with range and efficiency, but for that much money, you would expect all the functions that every other luxury car has.
There are going to be growing pains for both manufacturers and early adopters should expect to go...
I live near a wind farm. The closest wind turbine is about a mile away. Many of the stories you hear are overblown in my opinion. I hardly ever notice noise from them. When the wind is blowing hard, the movement of the tree branches generates more noise. I have walked around under the wind...
Here's a picture of one with the off-road package showing it from the rear underneath. It looks similar in the front. I think it will provide better aerodynamics as well as more protection off road. I've not seen any pictures without the off-road package, but you can see the bolts holding the...
I preordered an R1T LE, LG, FE, 20" AT, NOV 26, 2018, in central Illinois. I received an email with a March-April delivery window, but there's no date on my configuration page yet. I'm hoping to hear from a guide at least 30 days before delivery, but you would think they would want to lock in...
Reach out and contact your senators. I sent messages to both Senator Durbin and Senator Duckworth in Illinois to remind them that Rivian is not unionized and is providing a huge economic boost in the state. Either make changes to the bill and strike the union requirement or just drop the extra...
