Range was totally fine. Since I sized the snow tire to 275/60/20 the overall diameter matched my 22’s. Cold days here and that obviously hurts range until warmed up but I got up to 3.5kwh on my way to the SC in Brooklyn.
I’m all in! I would prefer a similar look to the OEM pad in terms of texture.
Right now I’m running the TWraps double MagSafe and it’s too high up but serving it’s purpose before something better comes out.
Had bought 4 of the Dodge Ram 09-12 20” wheels (reconditioned from a rim shop) that work with the Rivian to use with snow tires. Then I had a service appt and was able to convince the SA to sell me 4 OEM wheels no tires.
I only drove on these wheels about 100 miles before getting the new ones...
I have 4 barely used 20” dodge ram 20” wheels that I got to use for snow tires on my R1T and am getting a set of OEM rims now so I have the dodge ones to sell. If you’re interested, let me know and we can figure out if it’s doable.
@cbrcanuck when do you get your R1? I’m swapping to the 20”OE rims and have the 20” dodge wheels with TPMS (no tires) that I’m gonna try and get rid of.
So I did 275/60/r20 as the overall diameter matched my 22” OEM wheels. Was able to find them on simpletire and locally ata tire shop that is a Nokian dealer.
So I just got snow tires on my R1T. I got Nokian Hakkappelitta R5’s on 20” dodge ram 2009-2012 wheels. The reason I did this was because Rivian isn’t selling second sets of rims only (officially but some people have gotten SC’s to do it). Also, the dodge wheels are a cheaper aftermarket option...
Gotcha. Yeah my truck came with 22’s but I want the 20’s for dedicated snow tires. I’ll see if they will sell me two alone as a way to complete your two. Will let you know tomorrow.
Tri-state area - I am considering purchasing 20" AT wheels from Rivian but I don't need the tires that come with it. Anyone interested in going in on a purchase where I take the wheels and you get the tires? Willing to make the split favorable for you. Reply to this thread or send me a message...
I was searching for some cost effective wheels for snow tires and came across the wheel linked below. Fire rack says size doesn’t match but it seems like these could work. What does everyone think about fitment? I just can’t seem to find a weight limit...
