I've got a Gen 1. The rear doors play full range. The front doors play either midbass or all bass frequencies, can't quite tell. The sub plays low bass only. I know that because my sub is already running off that signal and should be responding better in the 40-60 Hz range.
I'm about 90% done with my install - running new mids and highs on a 4 ch amp and sub on a monoblock. The sub is running and I'm noticing the same thing you did. The sub signal is heavily filtered and I'm getting some pretty terrible response above maybe 37 Hz (ish). So you liked the results of...
Been working slowly but diligently on my install and I've made it to the subwoofer panel. Is it one peice with the armrest? I'm having trouble getting this panel off as the armrest panel is "in the way" and that large carpeted peice it sits on is a seriously heavy duty panel. This bottom panel...
My man! You really came through with this. Haven't had time to read it yet but I now consider it my guide for this install. Thank you so much. I just have one last question and I'm sorry if you answered it already but.. What did you end up using for remote turn on? That's my final puzzle piece...
Idk if I have the balls to cut the factory wires. Wonder if I can get enough slack to go back to stock one day. I guess I could link in some new wire if I needed to though.
Yeah so I see what you mean here. But I think our difference is that I'm trying to run an amp to a sub and an amp to the door speakers. If you run an amp to a sub that's easy. You connect your own speaker wires to your new sub. But if you want to connect an amp to door speakers it's another...
That very last part - "back into the factory harness going to those speakers". That's where I'm getting lost. And I might not be picturing this right, might have to see it. But from what I read here there's only a single lead for each speaker, as opposed to a wire going into the stock amp from...
I had to revive my account so I could get in on this. This info isn't easy to find.
So if you tap into those wires to get signal for a LOC.. where do you run your speaker wires? Normally I would tap into the input before the stock amp and tap into the output after, basically hijacking their...
