Yea, I recall hearing in a couple reviews the acceleration off the line seemed better. I'm curious given the Bosche motor technology is over 5-6 years old at this point since original design, if the new motors can take power quicker and convert that power to torque more instantly.
I've heard speculation that the new Gen2 R1S's are a bit more responsive on acceleration. I always noticed a bit more of a lag on my Quad R1S to our Model X. Even though our R1S had way more horsepower, and faster 0-60... The more responsive Model X just felt faster and more fun off the line...
One thing I noticed on the Gen1 was the seal was huge and often required a pretty hard slam to get it closed all the way. I wonder if they reduced or changed the seal as well. Interestingly the wading depth of the Gen2 is slightly less than the Gen1. I can't think of what design change...
I'm excited about this. We have three kids and the one in the 3rd row often gets cold in the winter. Rivian doesn't have actual heat in the third row! Just a recirculating fan! unless they upgraded this in Gen2. Having seat heaters will help those in the rear stay toasty. Wonder if it's...
I'm very interested in this as well. We have two vouchers and slow rolled our purchase as we heard the new Gen2 was coming out. We used one on a Dual Performance Max, as it is pretty close to the Quad Gen1 in performance 3.4 sec vs 3'ish secs... but around 70 more miles range.
That said it...
