A couple things I've personally been thinking about is beyond the first adopters and adventure/anti-Elon markets..
1) just how massive the US ICE truck market is, in conjunction with the overall transition to electric vehicles... I just don't see another truck quite there other than R1T growing...
Nearly all riskier stocks, especially higher beta, took a shellacking today.. hopefully this is just a blip on the radar as I agree this seems like an overreaction.. waiting for the moment the market realizes Rivian really is #2 EV company in the US
Exactly my thoughts. Saw the numbers this AM and thought no way that could justify the 10% drop by a miss of *28* on deliveries, with a *beat* on production... C'est la vie..
Noticed everyone posting about their new Rivians, but wanted to note in general here in Los Angeles I'm seeing a ton on the city streets which I find to be very encouraging. I didn't think Rivian had a chance to survive initially against Tesla, but more and more I'm having faith in RJ and the...
In some ways I can relate to OP as I drive a huge Benz G63, all just for me. And don't have to worry at all about finding a charging station or set up home charging with a gas guzzling V8 ICE vehicle. But on the other hand I absolutely love massive the size, space, comfort and could not go back...
I do think the Cybertruck release is actually going to be good for Rivian stock, started seeing CNBC talk more about truck EVs and first time seeing them point out R1T is the best selling EV truck = more awareness as Rivian quietly does it's thing
CT also overpromised/underdelivered, and the...
How on Earth can UAW go after Rivian and not just kill the company? They haven't made a *penny* in profit yet
I get the idea after Rivian hits full steam, but man let the company do it's thing it's just trying to survive..
Couldn't agree more, I've grown to LOVE the design language from Rivian the more I see these trucks/SUVs in person
Futuristic, stands out from the pack, without being ridiculous like the Cybertruck
I should have clarified in my original post that this isn't looking to be a swing trade or some short term profit attempt (unlike some others I've seen posting on here), but more to ideate on the company's product and positioning because obviously this is a foundational time for Rivian
Usually...
Hey all
I had been thinking of investing in Rivian after seeing the trucks and SUVs pop up more and more and more here in Los Angeles, and after seeing the stock take a nosedive from the 20s into the high teens, went in (could have waited for 15s like we are at now, but who has a crystal ball)...
As a local (now living in LA), this is great to see as Rivian's footprint expands. EVs make perfect sense for the islands, especially adventure themed!
