Strange. I'm also in OC and we pay $1100/year for R1S full coverage, and our first registration renewal was $940, and that's with vanity plates. We are in San Clemente; not sure if that makes a difference.

I had to turn off my iPhone off and then back on again. Make sure you have the latest Rivian app updated in your iPhone as well as the latest Rivian software update on car. Should be there after that ?

Had to capitalize on how many times people reacted this way when I told them it was electric... Also, had to throw in some electric measurement as well, but somebody had already grabbed the "watt" spelling. Plate took 8 months to arrive after ordering!

My understanding is that it has always been a tax "credit," which means unless you have a tax liability (and meet the income criteria), this will simply lower your tax liability by $7500. If you had a tax liability of $6500 before you claimed the credit, you would simply owe $0, since the IRS...

We did the same as you. Amended our '22 tax filing with our CPA since we all signed the binding agreement in August of '22. Our CPA completed the 8936 form last Spring and we're all settled. Our CPA confirmed that we do not need to do anything else since this has already been credited and...

If you signed a binding contract last August, you'll be able to ammend your '22 tax filing and get the $7500 credit (given income qualifications and tax liability of course). Our R1S is being delivered in May, and we've already contacted our CPA.
