One other thing I think is laughable is the on-road visualization UI. Other cars are jerky and wildly inaccurate. They should just remove this entirely until they can do this well.
Picked up my R1S a few weeks ago. I'm coming from a Model Y LR and below is my perspective on the R1S after 500 miles as a daily driver. R1S specs: El Cap Granite, Ocean Coast, Dual Motor Max Pack, 22" Sport Dark Wheels.
4 Things I love
The ride quality is fantastic. I'd heard about bumpiness...
There is a lot of Dual Motor Max Pack R1S inventory sitting on the Shop right now (33 as of two seconds ago!), hardly any Large Packs. I would not be shocked to see a price cut on the Max in Q1, particularly with the reception it is getting.
Wheels: 21" or 22", black preferred
Interior: Forest Edge or Ocean Coast w/ wood
Exterior: Limestone, El Cap, White, Black, or Green
Located in Santa Barbara, CA and would travel for the right deal. Looking at $85-$90k depending on spec. Open to including trading a '21 Model Y with ~15k miles.
