For what it’s worth m, I have Exoshield- and I caught a rock a few days back and now it’s from wiper to roof crack. If you do go exoshield get the extra $200 insurance for free replacement and replacement of glass up to $1k. Personally I would have been able to repair had I not had the exoshield

I just got a chip in mine even with exposhield. Shoulda got the exoshield insurance but opted out. I certainly don’t wipe down my blades very often. Only when I wash the truck and maybe every other month or so. No adverse effects so far. No etching, marks or anything except for the chip.

So yes- clean your blades. I won’t Not use my wipers because I’m worried about etching the exoshield.

Yeah once it cures the material is extremely hard, I don’t recall the exact rating but it’s impressive- not soft like you’re implying. Windshield wipers will not degrade the material. I got the exo-shield and yeah I like to challenge bullshit talk that has no merit.

This cannot be true. The wipers couldn’t wear down the film any measurable amount.
