I have had to disable the walk up unlock feature at home because it constantly locks and unlocks when I walk around in my yard. However, I've noticed that I can still open the frunk and the tailgate with a button press. Wouldn't it be great to just be able to open the doors in the same manner...

Where is it getting hot? In general, USB C shouldn't be hot. Resistive shorts can develop due to contamination in the plug or receptacle (water, sweat, food, etc) that can fly under the radar of the PD protocol and the source safety protection and this can cause overheating.
