  1. Trailering the R1T

Ok it's been a minute. The Aluma was a great trailer. Loading was tight (1 inch space between the fenders... 1/2 in each side). I put about 5-7000 miles towing the R1T on it. It ate tires. I had 5 blow outs plus 1 additional puncture. Yes the trailer tire pressures were right, I used a monitor...
  2. Rivian Nav Charging networks

No it was a 6.48 ... I was waiting for a person getting medical treatment.
  3. Rivian Nav Charging networks

I was directed by the Rivian Nav, to a Charge Point Station in San Antonio, that was in a gated apartment lot. What is the point of including restricted charging stations? Drive 20 miles only to not be able to charge.
  4. Are tpms sensors accurate?

Has anyone had their hand held gauges calibrated? They are notoriously inaccurate. Mechanical or digital (just because it's digital doesn't mean it's accurate). Read the documentation, most say accuracy is +/- 2psi (some are closer). Gauge could be +2 and the TPMS -2.
  5. Tire rotation - Discount Tire

I won't revile you with my rotation experience at DT in western Colorado. But the insurance company they use is excellent. Contacted me asking what the cost for repairs before I was able to get into the Austin Rivian Service Center. Once I sent them the invoice from Rivian, the check for...
  6. What do you want addressed in the next OTA update?

Close windows when rain is sensed when in park and even if sleeping. Tune in open to Favorites. Who needs Home and its weird random suggestions. Return infotainment to last station/app/connection the driver last was listening to.
  7. Megawatt™ Rock Sliders for R1T. Coming soon to Electruck4x4.com

What is the outside width dimension? I carry my R1T on a trailer with a width limit of 80 inches from ground level to 10 1/2 inches high. It barely fits at tire width as it is.
  8. Things you would like added/changed in software updates

How about Valet Mode. Limit Valets to Conserve @ XX mph, not open Frunk, Tunnel, Tailgate, etc.
  9. Trailering the R1T

Beautiful trailer. Too bad it's too narrow, too short and can't carry the weight. Other than that... Perfect!
  10. Trailering the R1T

Yeah, that would be nice... other than the horrible tire wear...? ... oh, and the extra fuel to tow...?
  11. Trailering the R1T

Thanks for your thoughts. I don't expect my delivery for a year. Aluma has a 6+ month build time, so I have time to gather this info. Aluma offers 5200 lb axles as an option. No problem. My RV is 45' adding the 219" bed is a 24+ft length... 2ft longer is more weight. And shorter is easier...
  12. Trailering the R1T

My RV is my home. I tow a vehicle to use when I get where I'm going. The Rivian is a combination Jeep/Pickup/garage.
  13. Trailering the R1T

Has anyone investigated trailering the R1T? Those of us that want to tow the truck behind our RV will require a trailer like the Aluma EX 8200 series tilt trailer. Bed length 219in (18'3") or 244in (20'4") ft? Has anyone tried the R1T on a tilt trailer? Does it balance easily? Is the 18ft...
