Can someone who is a lot smarter than I am explain, in simple terms, whether or not this is something that can be addressed through software updates? Or is it a hardware issue based on the different size wheelbases?
That information is very surprising to hear. What is your config? I'm a fellow 9/21 preorder (R1S) and my delivery window was updated to July-Sep 2023 with the latest news. I would expect you to fall closer in line with that, and if you have a certain config, like LA Silver, it could be more...
I'm not sure which F150 model you're referring to, but I checked their web site (2023 Ford F-150® Truck | Available Models) and they don't have any models listed that measure longer than 227.7 in...
Along the same lines, but I have a cousin who is 7'5". Can you show someone about his size getting into and riding in the R1S? Thanks in advance for entertaining my completely reasonable request!
Unsolicited financial advice in this type of forum is almost always a waste of time. Some people share their advice in a genuine attempt to help others while some share just so they can feel better about themselves and “rich”. You sir are the latter and a massive d bag.
Once you start the delivery process, do they give you an opportunity to add the rear cargo cover to your order or is that something you just have to order through the gear shop no matter what?
Thank you for sharing! I was worried that the woodgrain would be difficult to clean and microfiber or other towels would get caught on the rough edges.
I don't know much about PPF but can't, for the life of me, understand why they're not wrapping the headlights and light bar with this option. Just add it in and make it $2k, or whatever.
Would be curious to hear from current owners if they would stick with the wood dash or opt for the leather had it been an option. Mainly interested in opinions on how the wood dash is holding up so far and whether or not it's difficult to clean and maintain.
Sure, but those delivery windows have gotten a lot more accurate and meaningful over the last few months. Naturally, as their production planning has matured and they have more visibility and confidence in the upcoming batches and how quickly they can continue to ramp. I just hope they can and...
To my knowledge, there have not been any Midnight R1S deliveries yet, so it's likely the color batching that has you still waiting. Rivian has explained to us many times that location and configuration play a major role in terms of delivery schedule, but beyond that it's a bit of a black box.
Gotcha. I've been able to see it in person and still love it, and resale isn't really a risk for me since I tend to keep my cars for a long time, but was just curious to know the rationale.
Why is Forest Edge a resale risk in your mind? I change exterior colors daily in the configurator but have been stuck on FE since the day I placed my order.
I'm not sure if this counts as a theory and you should give yourself credit because you're not speculating. This is exactly what Rivian has told us they're doing, from Tony's latest email:
"Delivery timing estimates are based on your original preorder date, delivery location and your saved...
+1 on Exped. I use one for my tent camping setup and have nothing but good things to say. Very comfortable and packs down to a decent size. Looks like the Medium Double here would fit, based on dimensions as shown below. The one I have is too large, so will probably wait for Exped to develop a...
